I must have watched thousands of videos since I got into KZbin many years ago and I have never, EVER watched something like this that was so helpful and amazing! Oh wow! So many KZbin or's are posting how to make your calendar and what kind of stickers to put on it how to customize it according to your mood and all that foofoo stuff, but nobody ever talks about the real stuff: The hard part of day-to-day life and organizing it. Thank you Tracy! You are wonderful to help us! 🙏🏼❤️

Rewatching this for inspiration and motivation. Love your systems and videos and admire you. What are your thoughts on: what do you do when your spouse doesn’t support that system? Not talking about not doing the chores or following the calendar, but spiritually. If they are not supportive of you trying to schedule/organize your life, find it too rigid? You end up on completely different schedules because you want to be up early and get on with things. They “sabotage” your plans, most often unwillingly. You may end up living separate lives because you do your own thing and so do they. I sometimes feel relationships get in the way of achieving life goals, developing a business etc. and I don’t know how to handle that. If they won’t follow or support you, do you carry on regardless at the risk of tensions within the family and resentment on both parts?

Thank you! I appreciate the supportive message regarding my content and you sharing your admiration. After reading your situation with your husband a lot came up for me and I definitely have thoughts. Unfortunately, I cannot be of help or support without knowing more about you, your husband and what the goals are. I strongly encourage you to consider to work with me or another Certified Professional Coach. I think this would be most beneficial. Tracy, your right on point here. This is super great advice. I'm a firm believer in and waiting things down that completely alleviates the circle of thoughts in your head and helps in so many ways. Your advice is exactly how I stay organized. Without a doubt you sure have one lucky family. The structure is wonderful. Your a great speaker and role model. One thing I absolutely have to ask is what camera do you use to record with? I like how it's focused in on you and then the background is blurry. Now the last video you made it's not as focused maybe mid focused. You can see the background a little bit better. I'm honestly not too sure which one I like better. Would you happen to know what differences in recording you have between this video and the newest one you just uploaded? I'm just curious that's all like I said I study other peoples filmmaking technique and how they go about it. I think your videos are absolutely perfect by the way. You could easily give advice on creating videos as well.
@TracyHensel7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Joe! Appreciate the support on the video. The camera + Lens that I use is my blogging camera: Canon 6D with a 55 mm L-Series Fixed Lens. The lens is what creates the bokeh. I really don't know why sometimes the bokeh is more prominent than other times. I know very little about the camera or lens. Its perfect for blog photos (fashion). My husband takes my photos ... so I don't pay attention to settings. When filming a video, I do it all on my own and I wing it!! I actually think the quality is awful. It's not because of the camera, however. I am using a better system than most KZbinrs. I know there are better cameras for video. For instance, I don't have a flip out screen or anything that is more video friendly. I'm not ready to plunge into purchasing anything right now. Next on my list is a vlogging camera .. and that in itself ... is not cheap. I would like my videos to look different. I appreciate the compliment on how the videos look. I don't see it. Of course, we are our own worst critic.

If you get up at 4am to work out, do you still get up at that time on a non work out day? Or do you have other tasks you do at 4 am instead of workout? Thank you! Just wondering if you keep you wake time the same even on a non work out day.
@TracyHensel7 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa. Great question. I almost never get up at 4 a.m., on a non workout day. I would have no reason too. However, I do sometimes get up at 5 a.m. on a non-workout day. That would generally be a result of having to be fully ready and out for a day on business, an event or some other obligation. I do try to keep on the same bedtime and wakeup schedule and I do encourage it. I also feel that it is important to take at least one sleep-in day, per week to catch up on some extra zzzz's. I am like everyone else, I don't always get to bed on time. Sleeps imperative. It's the log average and we do need to catch up. A sleep in day for me is generally 6:30-7ish.

I always love your helpful information Tracy! I am wondering though, I do keep certain papers, like wedding invitations for example. I have a 1-31 day file and I write the event on my paper calendar but then I put the invitation into the file because then I have the location, the wedding gift website, etc. to refer to without writing all of the details of the event on my calendar. Thank you Kristine! It's easy to get derailed. Now that I work from home, I have had to really force the discipline. I see something that needs to be cleaned or organized ... and the distraction begins. Implementing Block Scheduling has really put a halt to that weakness. I block time in my day for random stuff. This is to use to do whatever I see fit ... even if it is 15 minutes. That allows me to tackle something that I may see that needs to be done. The discipline - I have to do it during the allowed time block period. Then walk away and move on to what the next block is telling me to do. Thank for the contribution. Have a GREAT weekend!! xx
Love this! Your kids must be at least in elementary school at this point. My oldest is a kindergartner, but she and the toddler are helpful with certain chores (ok the toddler is “helpful”). Tracy,it's great video full of very helpful advices! I have one question. I'm a mum of 3 girls, they are 4 years old 2,5 years old and 13 months. It's amazing to see how well organised you are as a mum of 5,but how did you stay organised when your kids were small? Did you workout everyday? Did you get up at 4?what about getting up at night? Did you have time for yourself? It seems like all I'm doing the whole day is fighting emergency situations. With running the house,cooking,cleaning ect I just can't stick to getting up early:(

Hi Marlena, it is tough. I know. I have been there. I do have a lot of Life Skill video on my channel, where I share how I operated my home. Please reference those videos: Goal Setting, Motivation, Time Management, Family Calendar. I also have many blog posts on the topic. I will definitely offer more advice not only on KZbin, but on my daily Snaps, as well.

This video is so adorable ♥️ I love your voice!! I been having a paper calendar for about 2 yrs for myself. I usually mostly input things I’ve already done. I’m going to start following your advice and really plan weeks ahead! When I start my own family I will definitely implement this method! You’re videos are some of the most useful on KZbin!!!!

I find my attention span if very short how does this work for like ADHD people. I find I get excited about things and maybe a few days later I lose interest or my mind is on other things. my mind is all over the place and can't stayed focused very long seems like. How does this work with people that can't stayed focused for a long period of time?

Discipline. You have to exercise the discipline muscle, just like any other muscle. It takes time. The more you practice or exercise, the better you get. How is your mediation practice?

The whole video I was like Preach! You are amazing. I love you. I have always been crazy about color coding, organization, and trying to make life more structured. Found my mom.
