I’ve had those same Duncan Phyfe dining chairs for at least 40 years. I’ve reupholstered them on a whim many times. I get my material at either an upholstery shop in town (they have cheap scraps) or hobby lobby. Easy, fun and creative. 👍🏼💕

I think we could all identify with the broom closet organization. It is something we often put off to another day. Our cat, Dottie, is always curious to see what’s inside the cabinets! Dogs aren’t as nosey but love supervising. With your other projects, it would be nice to see you reupholster the chairs. I have always wanted to learn how to do home upholstery. Of course, good luck with all your projects however you work your way through them. You are a wonder, so it is certain you will enjoy and do them well!

Well, :) let me first say that it seems you would like to be inspired to tackle the spinning loom. I personally think you’d be happier tackling the porch chair first, get that out of the way, then the spinning wheel …then the other items can be tackled at will (I LOVE projects) ❤ we will all be happy to support you in your journey. Your broom closet turned out fantastic! Broom closets are a good thing. Fortunately mine is big enough to get brooms, brushes and my vacuum as well. I have everything I need to clean most of the house in there. Would like to see you reupholster the chair in your living room as well as the wicker sofa on the front porch.

Hi, love the cabinet, fire extinguishers 🧯, hope you never need but good to have if you do. You did a good job on those channel back chairs in library corner, those are hard. You started with a tough one. The blue chair is a big job a lot of cushion sewing and staples but I don't think as hard as those chairs. I did upholstery for several years and I would start with the out door cushion. Then the dinning room chairs. The spinning wheel might turn into a whole new hobbie ☺️. I love your home. I'm one of those that loves to learn and have gotten into many creative things too. I think creative people are just like that. Can't wait to see what you get into. The cane bottom chair is one I've not done, would you weave it yourself or use a pre-woven piece and streach it? That would be nice to learn. You take care and see you next time.

It looks like you got a lot of use out of those furniture pieces needing re-upholstering and it's long overdue. At least you recognize that and are doing something about it. Could be embarrassing if you invite company over That fire extinguisher idea was excellent as was the idea about installing some shelves inside your broom closet. That has already been done inside mine, but my problem is there are too many items inside, including the vacuum cleaner. I keep my rags inside a clothes hamper, but your idea for keeping them inside your broom closet is logical. Everything looks organized. Looks great, easy to find things now.

Love the broom closet! I used black zip ties to make hanging rings on each of my brooms and tools so they can hang off the floor and not be smashed. interesting about the broom being used with a damp towel over it to wash the floor. Would love to see that. I can imagine it because I use a flour sack towel on my broom to sweep the ceiling and walls. Works very well. How do you attach your wet towel to the broom?

Sorry to tell you, that is the wrong fire extinguisher for a kitchen. A kitchen fire extinguisher is white and has a different mixture for grease fires. Or you can purchase a fire blanket that suffocates grease fires.
