Thank you so much for this wonderful, helpful video Eglis. I'm a 66 year old woman and started dancing one year ago. I want to be really good, with your help! Also I love watching Svetlana and her demonstrations - she is so graceful and elegant without being at all showy. Perfect.

Oh. I just realized why Waltz seems easier for me to learn than tango or other dance types:) I do those exercises for fun normally, many times I raise and try to stand on one foot & toes only :) Thank you for the video. Actually explained me a lot. Also gave me the push to give myself more patience when I dance for example tango with my partner. Guess it was not that I am not able to learn , but that I don't got the right exercises yet to advance faster there. :) I was blaming myself that I am learning extra slow, as she is really talented, however she never blamed me, but told me that I do fine. So a really huge thank you. This might have literally saved my life. :D

I am puzzled about the falling into central position that you demonstrate. I have learned [when going forward] to take a heel lead and slide the legs open to reach that central position, i.e. not to step immediately into it with the 90 degree angle etc. Why these two different techniques?
@EgilsSmagris
@EgilsSmagris 7 жыл бұрын
+Stella Wilson thanks for your question. Point of falling in to central position is that we do not use lowering completely separate from moving weight forward. Feet of course are working at same time, we also take so called heel lead and slide step to full stride. Hope it helps.

"e/o" means "end of"; and is same way "b/o" means "beginning of". That is what you asked for?
