Fair enough, I am sitting down for the second half of the album now, not at Stray Bullet yet (I played the album in full a few times but the analysis part), I look forward to it. Bonnie has a video on I Gave You Power (our third most viewed one). Gonna check that Sticky Fingaz one.

Damn, Stray Bullet is proper.

Great review and analysis guys! I own this album on CD and even that is pretty hard to find now. I didn't realize you had reviewed SO MANY artists/albums. I've always liked you ever since your Killah Priest "Heavy Mental" review which was my first. Anyway, the album is excellent. The jazz inspired production gives it an easy to follow vibe which is misleading because lyrically it is one of the most advanced of the 90's. Pharaoh Monche pushes the boundaries of his voice and his pen to the extreme! Prince Po is no slouch but rarely outshines his partner. My favorite tracks are: Intro Stress Black Sunday Why 3,2,1 Keep It Coming Stray Bullet Let's Organize Bring It t On Thirteen Maintain... Damn that's like every song right? Right. Overall this is a fairly unique slice of east coast artistry that rewards the curious listener with loads of creativity and a little food for thought. Thanks for taking the time to make this review and for reading my comments.

Wow that Killah Priest review was YEARS ago. We took most of 2022 off from reviews as we started performing live again and interviews became a big thing we do (I got to talk to Immortal Technique but that's on another channel). It really means a lot you took the time to watch it.

Could You PLEASE review the Six Feet Deep album by Gravediggers if/when you have time. Apparently you're like really busy a lot of the time judging by the number of videos on your channel.

I'll definitely add it to the list of stuff to one day maybe get to. Currently i'm in a place where I am highly motivated to find revenue sources from content so pushing album reviews is going to be a thing. Bonnie probably won't do many reviews anymore (life has evolved for all of us). Even if a bunch of them are me solo I see a big opportunity for reviving this side of what we do. As for this album in particular, no idea when we would get to it. The next month is a giant restructuring since it's winter and I don't really want to go outside as much LOL.

@@BehindThatSuit Thanks. If you DO get around to it I'll hopefully be able to hear it ( not promised tomorrow - knock on wood).

THis album is wonderful to me. This the kind of Hip Hop that makes me look at a lot of stuff today with a different light. I really really respect both these gentlemen a lot.

I actually was waiting on others to comment before I did but since no one has yet here I go. I'm familiar with this group & I know their style. I think the one thing this album does artistically is remain original threwout the tracks. Is it a classic? We shall see.

Definitely get where you are coming from. It's a very cool album to me. I feel like with all the choices Ih ave now, I'd rather listen to something like this that's got such an out there style than more cookie cutter ideas.

1994 is one of the greatest years in Hip-Hop and this album is a testament to that. I believe these guys could have destroyed the entire Rap game at the time had they got more exposure. This is an improvement upon their first album which didn’t even seem possible but Monche and Po pulled it off. Getting this album on vinyl is a complete nightmare as most prices are in the triple digits and I’ve been hunting for it for years and still haven’t came up on a decent price. Patiently waiting for part 2 and then I’ll give my next album recommendation.

Oh by the way, good job on the weight loss HSR, the journey is tough but I’m glad you stuck to it, proud of you homie.

I can see what you mean at the time with how interesting and inventive the project is. I am left to question if really smart dudes driving intellectual protest music can often take on the pop machine and win, but the way I see it is more like these guys pushed along the resistance. It's almost like music always had a civil war of sorts between substance and vapid. The unfortunate part is even with more exposure, you'd still have to deal with mass audiences who statistically dislike thinking and artists who like money. However, in the last week I saw a whole bunch of folk pointing out how Mr. Monche is severely underrated and I think is facts (funny how the algorithms waited till I was looking up this album to show me that across all socials). The weight loss has been quite life changing for me, appreciate your kind words. But now is the real hard part. Keeping at it while the rate of loss drops to a % of what it was. Still, jogging is my new motivator. It's giving me the opportunity to keep seeing immediate small gains XD. Oh part 2 is going to come this weekend.
