Cas, you have made this process so doable with a different focus on each day of the 30 day schedule and sticking to 5 minutes. I’ve tried the toaster off the counter. I'm minimal-ish, recently went through my cupboards, and only keep 3 things permanently on my counter (dish rack, water jug, and charger for my tablet and phone), so I didn't really have anything to get rid of. But the counter was getting cluttered with to-do items, so I put stuff away instead. Opened 2 deliveries and put that packaging where I keep it until I know there's nothing wrong with the items. Plugged in 4 items to charge, 3 of which I need to do something with, so that they're ready for later. Wiped off the counters, even in the hard-to-reach corner. Put the rest of the items away. That was about 5 minutes. Added vacuuming and dishes after that, which only took another 5 minutes. Done for today. Thanks, Cass!

And I had thought our drawers were pretty decluttered!

Many years ago I put my toaster in the cupboard. It was a great move to free up bench space.
My daughter got up whilst I was doing the dishes (more than 5) and she swept then hand-vacuumed up the dust puppies (from our dog) we took a bit over 5 minutes because YT placed an ad in your video and my hands were too wet to 'skip' although to be fair I usually don't skip ads plus it gave me the extra minute to finish the last dish. I still have the pan to go and that I can do before I go to bed. I've started a 5-minute jobs for my daughter whilst I'm doing the tasks with you so "one up all up" like we used to do. Also we are in Tasmania and just experienced days of wild weather causing blackouts and lots of damage. The power had just come back on around the time your video posted so it was a no-brainer to get jobs done whilst we have light.

My oven broke about a year ago and I still haven't replaced it. It's amazing what I've learned to make with a microwave, shelf style air fryer, and Ninja Foodi, but hubby says we need to replace it. These 5 minute sessions are quick enough they aren't too painful to declutter to donate and my church is planning their annual rummage sale now. Good timing. Your story was so funny. When my eldest son was about 2 we lived in a condo in southern California and the washer and dryer was outside of the kitchen sliding doors in a little addition. It also had a patio with a 6 foot fence around it. When we went out to do the laundry a stick we'd put in the door track fell down so we couldn't get the door open and we were stuck out there. I ended up having to break the kitchen window, removing the glass, and having my young yard ape climb in and remove the stick. We were both fully clothed, but it was quite an ordeal.

Woohoo ME!!!! I finished my minutes before I even watched this video today!!! Actually did my decluttering during my 'normal morning routine' (get up, brush teeth, make bed, feed kitty, etc stuff)!!! 1) I got rid of 18 things!!!! Although they were all super tiny items, they made a big impact on the tidyness of 2 little bins in my junk drawer!!!! 2) I did actually add a bit of organizing those bins and a zip lock baggie that I wanted to declutter the baggie so I wanted to organize the items inside it into the little bin, but adding that tiny bit of organizing only added another 1-2 minutes and added HUGE organization inside of my drawer!!!! :) (The little bins hold my safety pins, binder clips, paper clips, rubber bands and twist ties. Everything was jumbled together and now is organized well and I got rid of the old broken ones plus a few weird ones that I won't use!!!!:) 3) HOUSE HUSHING!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! I already have my toaster inside my cabinet! Always have!!! The only things I have living on my counters are: a) dish sponge on a little dryer tray & 2 kinds of dish soap b) a fruit tray c) a tray for paperwork Currently there is some other crap that I'm currently working (mail, air filters to change) on that (I'm promising myself) WILL BE DONE TODAY!!! :) But I DID actually do some house hushing these past 2-3 days before I even saw this video!!!! I was feeling stressed about the amount of clutter in my house! I had a couple of large storage bins in the front corner next to the door full of almost 150 that I had recently decluttered and I'm going to give to my sister for her Airbnb/elderly home that she has going. But with my back injury I just left the storage bins there thinking she can move them next month when she comes to visit. I also have a shelf that I need to change the screws in the drywall bc started to come out of the drywall, but postponing until my back was better to climb the step stool... Add a couple of other 'constant visual to-dos' around my place, and I didn't realize how much noise it was adding up to recently. So yesterday & day before, I moved those books bins into my large closet instead. My vacuum is now on top of them instead of on the floor. Yes kind of yucky in the closet but I can shut the day and not see it, it's stable and I don't think about what I can't see! Plus all the work is actually already done!!!! She just has to pick up those 2 large bins when she comes back, but I don't have any additional decluttering decisions to make or work to do!!! :) I ALSO decided to hush a shelving built-in behind my little dining room table. I have about 16 purses, and they were all on 4 shelves. I took off 7 and put them in a now half empty drawer!!! (bc decluttered those books but then used half of the drawer as filing for paperwork)!!! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it looks so much better than it did before!!!! And I still have those other purses that I can choose from every few months when I want to change the color of my purse!!! FUN!!! I never had that before!!! Lol

your stories are the best part of all of your videos. I love how much of a weirdo you are and you're not afraid to share your weirdness with the world! love ya Cas!

My kitchen countertops are normally clear, just a basket of dish towels live there so nothing to declutter there. But one of your commenters mentioned decluttering the recipe book. Excellent idea! Twenty-two recipes I'll never cook are gone which created space for the recipes I do cook. Yay! 🥘🍳🥗🥣🧂

I didn't take a picture of what I got rid of!! I just threw it right in the trash! But I don't feel like I can stop. I just want my house clean and decluttered!!

I love how you said "building my decluttering muscle" this resonates with me, I'm a day late on Day 2 but I'm going to do 2 and 3 together today. Day 1 was a total win for me
