This makes me want to move somewhere new just so I can reorganise...or just pull everything out and redo it again 💁♀️

Have you ever heard of a packing party? It’s an idea that was brought up by The Minimalists. You pack everything that you own into boxes or some other container in a room of your house as if you’re packing up to move. Then you only bring out what you need as you need it. After a week or a month or however much time you feel is right whatever still packed goes away. It’s quite a lot like moving, but without leaving the house.

It's always nice to find things like that! I saved all my train tickets, museum tickets from Europe and put them in a photo album! Love the organization / declutter video!

I own two backpacks full of clothes, I have a computer and a phone. I barely have anything else. I find decluttering and organization videos soothing which I feel helps my mental health. I suffer from ptsd, anxiety, depression and I also have a learning disability.

Questions: •Do you see this as just a ‘quick apartment’ until you can long term move to Canada? Like you don’t love the apartment but it will do? •Did you decide to buy a car again and are you bringing it to Canada? •Will you be moving everything that you own now with you to Canada minus what you are giving to your mum? Like so you’ll finally have all your belongs with you in Canada?
@rachelleea4 жыл бұрын
Hi lovely, it is going to be a 'quick' apartment as I'm hoping I can move to Canada ASAP and don't want to be locked in long-term. I won't be buying a car. I'm not sure what I'll move to Canada when I do go there, but if I do bring anything I'd say it will just be a few boxes but that wouldn't include furniture.

I’m so glad that you were able to move to your own place! I love your organization and de-cluttering content! I am so eyeballing your notebooks! I was so proud of myself when I realized I only have like 3 unused ones left! I also went through filled ones and stored all my writing projects notes on my computer and let go of the notebooks!

I did something similar with notebook sorting a while ago when I began my Kon Mari/minimalism journey. I used my iPhone and scanned all my pages I couldn’t part with and keep them all saved on the same note and just add to it when there’s something else I can’t part with, but don’t want to keep the hard copy of. I even keep my divorce papers and such saved for easy access for quick referencing. I’ve seen a digital highlighter that scans and converts text to digital copy that I’m considering purchasing in the future for such purposes so I can make the information I’m copying searchable on my phone/computer.

Yah this is true haha. Melbourne has so many beautiful white apartments. However in Toronto it’s a different story. It’s so hard to find white kitchens, for some reason the designers there all think brown kitchens are a great idea
@april30214 жыл бұрын
@@rachelleea gotta have a white kitchen 😜 I lived in new york for a while before moving to Melbourne and I had the same issue, dark expensive small apartments ! Melbourne is a dream cost wise lol. Im on Albert park lake and pay less than 700 a fornight for my own modern apartment, bright , light space and aesthetically pleasing 😁 I'm moving back to the America early nxt yr when the apocalyptic phase is over (! Hurry up pls! Lol) and I'm not looking forward to the cost in renting rise at all lol 😂❤🌍
