hey I just started with mylio but after looking to your video and tried 20 times to find out to create a new foler of sufolder i never se the button to create a folder? Please reply by return if i did something wrong or overlooked because if not the programm I can not use.

Thank you Angela for this helpful video. I am a little confused, however, at 12:37, you say that the HDR Merge folder lives in the Pictures folder on your Intel MacBook Pro. So why isnt the folder showing in Mylio called Pictures instead? And then if you go into Pictures you would then see all the folders within such as your HDR Merge folder. I guess I dont understand how the HDR Merge folder is showing in Mylio outside of your Pictures folder.

Hi @JadeSambrook - On my Intel MacBook Pro, the HDR Merge folder is located inside my Pictures folder, but I didn't add the top-level Pictures folder to Mylio. I don't want everything in the Pictures folder to be in my Mylio library, so I added the sub-folder If I had added the Pictures folder, then it would automatically add everything in that folder, including sub-folders to my Mylio library. Hope that clarifies, let me know if you have any followup questions. ~Angela

Great lessons..question how do you rename the source drive names (highest level)? In your example, “intel MacBook Pro” and “m1 MacBook Pro”.My source had some weird names. Also can you manually arrange them I.e. if I want to move my MacBook Pro folders to the very top?

Hi @keen99 - You can rename your computers (or other devices) from the Mylio Dashboard. This doesn't change it in your computer system, only how it is displayed in Mylio Photos. Go to Dashboard > Devices, then select the computer you want to rename. In the next column, under Device Details, click into the field where the computer name is, and rename it as desired. If you want to move your linked folders from your MacBook Pro to the top level in Folders view, you can do that from the Dashboard as well. Select the computer you're using, then under Device Details, go to Linked Folders. Select the folder you want at the top level and choose Mark as Library Folder. If you'd also like to maintain the originals in this folder on your MacBook Pro (rather than letting SpaceSaver offload them to a Vault), make sure you toggle the switch for Keep Files Imported On This Device to the ON position.
