Organizing Like A Student

I'm a school supply junkie too :) Last year, I started a binder called my "Brain-in-a-Binder" that I keep all my day-to-day go to items in. I use the sheet protectors like you because I refer to the papers in it so much; the protectors keep them from ripping out. I also keep a separate folder in this binder for each family member (me, hubby, daughter) to keep up with each person's stuff. I agree with you that binders are awesome!

i also heart school supplies .. whenever i would start school or a new project i would go to the school supply store and buying things like that would always make me mor excited about the project itself

@VintageChrystelle I havent quite gotten to that phase of my craft room yet (saving the closet for last....eek!), but you can be sure that once i do i will film and show you guys. the skirt hanger idea is great!

Thanks Jen! I was diagnosed with a GI disorder last year and have tons a documents in several places. I never thought to contain it all in a binder. Excellent idea!

I sooooooooo love school supply / stationery shopping. Im starting a short course in a couple of weeks, so Iv gone crazy getting all the supplies. Iv got a bag which is a binder which has a pencil case built in. Really looking forward to it, its the first educational class Iv done for 20 plus years.

@applesnvananas I save receipts for about 3 months before tossing unless they were for big ticket items, in which case I keep them filed. I do most of our balancing online. I still like to have paper copies of all bills and statements which I file in my office.

Very fun, Jen, I love having any way to keep the paper deluge from overtaking. Since you are sitting in your craft room, will you show how to super organize our craft papers and supplies? I use a lot of small paper and ephemera. Some I have coordinated in card and collage kits clear bags that hang from skirt hangers in the craft closet, but I could use any suggestions you might have would be so appreciated. Shh!Can't show my hubby this vid>he has an addiction to office and school supplies!lol!

What brand of sheet protectors did you get at Office Max? I find the ones I get from the dollar store are just a teeny tiny bit too small. The paper rolls up at the sides and doesn't lie flat in the binder. And the plastic is very thin.That's what you get for paying $1.
