Glad that you are cleaning but I would take some recommendations in the comments about organizing.
@1234cheerful5 жыл бұрын
Some of the other livin-in-yer-car KZbinrs are indeed more organized. Especially the seniors, who don't usually run to wardrobe choices, just one or two of each, but in your twenties, thirties, forties, you like a little variety in your clothes.
@SouthernMamaa6 жыл бұрын
You need to buy car seat organizers that hang on the back of the seats, dollar tree organizing bins for food and drinks and whatever else, car trash can so you can stay on top of it and make it it wear most of your stuff with go in your trunk.. I could not live like that with a disaster in the car! It would be best for you to take Everything out clean it completely and then put things back in a more organized manner
@1234cheerful5 жыл бұрын
I agree. But for Katie that might represent a huge task that would stress her out. First front seat, then back seat, then trunk: in manageable chunks. Plus, take it all out and she's stuck for a day at the place where she's cleaning and she likes to be mobility-ready.

I think for this lifestyle you have to be a minimalist. Maybe take a day and go through everything and be super intentional about what you want and need. We live in our RV fulltime with our three kids and we’ve had to do that a few times. It’s easy for things to get out of control when you live in such a small space. It seems as though you enjoy shopping and your things. I know you’ve said you’re against it, but if you can’t minimize you really might want to consider a bigger vehicle for this lifestyle. Just a friendly suggestion. I’m definitely not judging. I’ve had to try really hard at this living in our Rv too. It’s especially hard with the kids bc they acquire so many toys and things. It can be tricky. 💓

Not only do you make living from one work for you, it's really cool how you enjoy it so much. :D I watched a handful of your vids and I thought I might offer a few tips (other viewers may have mentioned some already): A car vacuum from amazon is worth having tucked under a seat or stashed in the spare tire area. Some LED lights for the inside could add a bit of color at night. A 12V inverter/splitter for more lighter/usb ports is very handy. Power banks to charge stuff when your car is off. Little cable organizers can help you organize your cords that run about the interior. There's these cool little rubber sheets you can get for your dashboard on amazon, they are uber sticky and can stop things from sliding around your dash, turning it into valuable storage real estate.

Everyone saying “get a van, get an suv” - which would give you more space, but If that’s not what you want, which you’ve made clear, people please stop suggesting it! She doesn’t seem to be stressed out at the space she does have. Sure it might be a constant thing to keep things in order, but it’s not going to kill ya. The Yaris is a small, though reliable, hatchback great on gas, and it’s all you need. A bigger car means buying more materially which may not be a good thing.

I borrow all of my ebooks from the library. It's really easy and free! I would say to connect with whatever your "home" library is. Apps like Overdrive and Libby can connect to your kindle app, or you can read directly in the app! They usually offer the audio book versions too! Some libraries are really good about letting you request titles that they might not already have in their library too! Basically, free books on demand, no strings attached!

I own a gold mining claim and I have lived in a tent on the river 2 separate summers for 5 months straight. I had a 2 room tent and my kitchen was in a tree and all food and toiletries were in a large bear proof metal box. Obviously, my "home" was bigger than your car, but i was sharing the space with a boyfriend and 2 large breed dogs both years. I also had a get creative with space. One thing that I really used and I think you could also benefit from it, is the mesh storage system's. You can find them in almost any camping supply stores or even camping aisles of stores like Walmart or kmart. It is basically just a large piece of mesh that has strings and tie downs on all 4 corners. You would use it close to the ceiling of your car. You can definitely store a lot of lightweight items in this fashion.

You should really get a reusable bag for your food or maybe just a little bin that you can store it all in maybe in a shady spot in your car maybe on the floor board in the back seat? That way you don’t just have stuff in plastic bags everywhere. And what about hanging your sunglasses on your visor on the passenger side. And maybe put one jacket on the back on the passenger seat that you use the most and then store the others maybe folded on top of the box with important papers. I’d loveeeeeeeee to organize your stuff it would be so much fun! Lol

Remove the back and passenger seat since you don't need them for more space, put some plain wood on the floor to make enough space for bed from passenger to trunk, wide enough to stretch your legs, and the other side is for storage. I've seen a video of how do it in youtube.

Basically all the fish have Mercury....but larger fish eat more smaller fish so they absorb all the Mercury from the fish they eat. Get the chunk light tuna. It can be eaten twice a week. It's cheaper too. I can get a pouch like that at Walmart for like $1.

There are also cases that you can mount above the doors instead of the grips. Or clips that fitt on your sunvisor. For your glasses.

a kindle was the single best purchase i made in my whole life. I still have too many books but go to PIXEL of INK and they will send you daily deals and some take 15.00 ebooks down to 1.99 for that day. You purchase and have it for life but you have to grab those on the daily. Some days I don't see any I want, some days, all 5 of them I like but the good thing is there is usually 1-2 of them completely free. I knit and taught myself from you tube videos. Its great for anxiety. Studies show its just as good to knit regularly as taking some medications. Ravelry.com is a great source for free patterns and info.
