I always order mine A-z, I only have 58 cds, but then again, I've only been collecting for two years. Edit: 6 months on and 73 CDs now

I organize starting in alphabetical order in artist, and then album. Compilations/Mixes are in alphabetical order after all the artists :)

I have all my cds in alphabetical order too. I just got Another cd double shelf holder which I'm excited about., as I have over 2000, plus about 80 band's whole discographies. I'm a maniac lol. Thanks for sharing your collection.

I ALWAYS ORGANIZED MY CD COLLECTION OF OVER 1000 ALPHABETICALLY. BY ARTIST.WHY DO PEOPLE CAREGORIZE BY GENRE? WHEN WE FEEL THE MOOD FOR LISTENING ITS GENERALLY BY ARTIST,SO IT MAKES MORE SENSE TO ORGANIZE ALPHABETICALLY. PLUS MANY ARTISTS OVERLAP STYLES. YOU COULD PUT THE STONES,CLAPTON,HENDRIX,THE YARDBIRDS,ETC INTO DIFFERENT GENRES.

What's a fellow supposed to do when he has 2000 vinyl albums...700 '45's...and over 1000 CD's in a 450 sq. foot apartment ? I hope no one is paying full retail for CD's these days! This weekend...I bought over 30 CD's for 1 dollar each. JUNK ? NOPE ! Pink Floyd Brain Damage 4 disc set...Allman Brothers Live at the Filmore DELUXE box...Beatles White Album...The Band The Last Waltz...Brian Eno Here Come The Warm Jets. T-Rex The "B" sides...used CD's are the best music value out there. YOU GO LARRY !

james mcbride well i bought dcc japan import cds Led zepplin ,Quick silver,Doors n British Alt Beatle albums for like 10 apiece but i have gotten alot of cd box sets for 10-20 bucks .i never had any japaness printed cds.....plus i got a lot of 60 import albums all mint covers n records all in heavy poly covers for 300...Rainbow,Rush,Stones,Traffic,ZZtop ,Stevie ray Vaughan

Geno..if you saw the little flea market here in Ohio where I find these things...you would laugh out loud !This last Saturday...15 albums and 16 CD's for less than 40 bucks ! A French CD of Mountain's AVALANCHE...Jimi Hendrix and Curtis Knight's British CD called KNOCK YOURSELF OUT...Firesign Theater's WERE ALL BOZOS ON THIS BUS on a MFSL Master Disc...and I found Japanese CD's from ACE, Carol King and Tom Jones....all for 1 dollar...sometimes 3 for 5 dollars. How could their original owners just chuck them for pocket change? I'm glad they do though ! CHEERS !

Alphabetical by artist then chronological by release date.

David Helweg I mean what ever floats your boat dude I’m just saying it’s possible, most people do alphabetical, if you go to a store they’ll have genre separate most of the time but then it’s alphabetical. You just seemed like it was weird to do alphabetically like it’s impossible.
