What a wonderful relationship you have with your family… It melts my heart. ❤️ the potting shed turned out so cute and it shows you can make things look organized with minimum items and just a bit of creativity. I’d never think about hanging tools on the side of the shelves or use terra cotta pots on the wall. Turned out so cute and it has inspired me to go through my own things to organize! Thank you for all that you do! As a side note: The calathea you gave to your mom is called a calathea musaica or ‘Network’. They like it very humid (above 60%) and are sensitive to hard water. I personally haven’t had very good luck keeping them in a terra cotta pot but I haven’t topped with rocks either so it will be a cool experiment to see how it does.

This one randomly brought tears to my eyes - I think seeing you three together made me think about how much I miss doing things like this with my Mom and sister and our kiddos. Was soooo happy to have a video on Saturday. What a pleasant surprise! Enjoy still being able to spend precious time with your mother. I lost mine a year ago and I miss her so much. She was 95 and still took care of her flowers herself. We shared our excitement with each other when something we planted did exceptional well. She always loved my dahlias. I can't believe nothing was said about the bistro table and chairs, so I will say it. Your mom made excellent use of that bistro set! I have an ice cream table and a bunch of chairs that are sitting out in my backyard waiting for me to clean them up, put some paint on them and upholster some seats so they can go into and around my little greenhouse/potting shed that I am hoping to get this year. Hi Laura, Susan, Monica and Benjamin! I'm surprised you didn't have saucers for the2 terra cotta pots. I'm sure your Mom will have some. LOL! I love the arbor your Dad built! Susan, the chandelier is beautiful where you hung it. And the paint colors you chose are so pretty. I would keep your first welding project. You did a great job on it, and it would be really pretty with plants that vine growing all over it. I like the frame over the potting bench with that picture. The other pictures look pretty where you decided to hang them. I love the potting bench with the little drawers, and the pocket planters are great for the smaller often used items. It was so special seeing how happy you are with the end results of your oh so charming potting shed. It's always a joy seeing you and Monica in videos with Laura. Everything looks so pretty! I love to hear your sweet mama’s voice… it sounds like pure joy and kindness. I lost my mom 7 years ago and there was something about your hands and the perspective of the camera as you repotted those plants for her in the beginning that brought up a forgotten memory of my mom❤️ what a gift. Thank you. I know you work so hard- and I would imagine always finding a way to document life is a chore- but it isn’t lost or wasted. In the memory that came up I was as tall as your camera lens and had the same view of my mom’s hands as she gently repotted plants so they would have room to grow. As a woman of a certain age (58 🥴) who also has had back surgery, (or 3), it’s great to see you all helping your Mom out to save her back. I just want Laura to spend a day at my home to help me turn my space into something beautiful and unique. In my family we grew up with blank walls because putting a nail in a wall to hang something was damaging the home. These videos inspire me to let myself personalize my home and make it special. Also it reminds me that you don’t have to wait until you have everything perfect to go for it. I love these videos so much and I usually use them to motivate myself to do something I am procrastinating. “If you do this tough thing, you get to watch the new Garden Answer video”.
