They are famous world wide and in the small German town, “Herrnhut” there is a factory where they make them by hand. It is a beautiful part of German History. Blessings from Germany. MaCenna, I recommend you go to a place called Cinque Terre in Italy. It means “Five Lands.” They are 5 small villages in the Riviera right off of Genoa Italy on the Mediterranean. The life is like the Angels must have been born there. There’s a market each week, different days for different villages, omg the shops and cafes and coffee shops. Romantic quirky little apartments with a Sea view. Barcelona in right across the Riviera sort of France, Italy & Spain cove, and the shopping is AMAZING! Plus the artisans there, the fresh oysters and clams and fish, the fresh baked bread, sweet little markets, & MaCenna the colors of all the fruits and vegetables, you won’t believe how vibrant. Each village is 5 minutes apart by train, & I have a friend whom I can connect you with who can be your guide and even find your apartment to stay in. I can’t say enough. Once your settled, consider it for you and Romeo.

I have lots of items stored in clear plastic bins like yours. To keep track of what's in them I placed a number on the front of each. On my computer I keep pictures of each item, organized into categories & label the picture with the item name & corresponding bin number. For example: White rose chenille bedspread - shams bin 7. Hand painted Italian dishware bin 5. Furniture has been wrapped in old blankets & plastic wrap with a large number on it under the plastic wrap. Photos of the piece are also stored on my computer with the number noted in the description. It works for me and I can pretty much find anything I want within a couple minutes.

I didn’t get a look at the socket on the brass lamp but I think it might be a bayonet socket. I never saw one when I lived in America but now that I live in Australia, they’re actually pretty common. I’m sure they exist in America too but they might be expensive or hard to find. Probably will be best to have it rewired with a typical screw socket.
