I normally don’t care for cleaning videos unless they are yours! The fact that you talk through them (nearly) the entire time is very engaging and helpful. And I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again, the way you vacuum is so satisfying!

Have you thought about putting hubby’s dvds in storage books? The large ones can hold hundreds of discs. When I did it to my kids’ dvds, it was kind of shocking how much space and time it freed up. Great videos, hope this helps 👍🏻

That’s what we do too. I have the cases in a plastic bin in the attic and then a zippered cd binder to keep the cds in.
@annw13952 жыл бұрын
I prefer to keep them in the cases. I was actually thinking to move hubby's DVD's to the cabinet shelves below. Put them vertically in plastic bins: then you can slide out the bin or box, and (bc they're vertical) you can see each title. Then the drawers can be used for cables.

Tub cleaner suggestion! Liquid bar keepers friend, squirt it on when you start cleaning the bathroom, let it sit for a bit. Then just wipe with micro fiber cloth. Grime and stains gone! Also works great as toilet bowl cleaner :)

Thanks for trying out that bathtub scrubber. For those of us who are spoonies(have disabilities/chronic pain), things like cleaning a tub/shower is really difficult. There are Electric Spinbrushes for showers with a long handle that you could try. I've been looking at them for awhile, but the reviews are completely polar.
@karendunlop35342 жыл бұрын
I’m a Spoonie and I use the OXO Tile Scrubber in my shower. It isn’t perfect but it’s the best option I have found. It has the scouring pad, like the one Mai had, and you can also buy a brush head for it. I would definitely recommend it for people like me, who don’t really have the option of going down on hands and knees. I hope this helps.

I second the suggestion someone else made to get a DVD storage container. We took the DVDs out of their cases, put them in the container (like a photo in a photo album). I put all the cases in a large storage container in the basement. I love not taking up a ton of space with DVDs. For the tub, try dawn dish soap mixed with vinegar in a spray bottle. You can google the recipe. It works great. Loved the video.

Mai, you are a ball of fire when you're cleaning. I think you do a great job taking care of your home and family and watching your progress has been inspiring and motivating. Amazon has a fillable paint pen you can use for small touch ups. You just draw paint up into it and use it when you need it. That would save getting the paint can out for small touch ups. Great video again! XXOO ❤️

I just decluttered all my dvds since we have every single streaming service, basically. The ones we wanted to keep, I got rid of the bulky plastic cover and put the disc in a cd binder. Same with the Xbox games and it frees up so much space
@khaoylel2 жыл бұрын
I like that scrubber wand best for the shower walls. Then I don’t have to stand in the tub to clean them. I’ve never used it in the actual tub like that, but I can see how it’d be tough to get the real strength behind it necessary for the textured tub bottom.
@MaiZimmy2 жыл бұрын
100% agree! I’ve been using it in my shower lately (filmed this video a while ago) and love it for cleaning hard water stains of the glass and brightening up tile

Another idea for labeling drawers for those who don't want to see the labels when the drawers are closed: You can put the label on the side inside the drawer. It's a lot easier to see than it sounds!

You got a ton done! It's always amazing what a difference it makes even to just tidy up! You don't want to be dragging any heavy furniture -- that will damage the legs. Need two people to lift it. Also, I wouldn't put sticky labels on your beautiful wood -- they can ruin the finish.

Also, it would make more sense to keep all your back ups in the same place instead of spread out over 2-3 bathrooms and a closet. Yes, you'd need to go to another room for a new bottle, but that way you only need to go to ONE place to see if you already have replacements instead of 2-4. (just a suggestion)

I used the dvd sleeves from amazon. I p put 50 dvds in individual sleeves, used the cover out ofthe case. I went from 2 1/2 baskets full to barely 1/2 of one basket. Can you do that with the video games. You don't really need the case. Or store cases elsewhere if you decide you need them 🤷🏾♀️
