These guys played awesome live. I saw them in downtown LA, roughly 98ish. The band stood outside after the show and talked to fans. Lead singer was a cool guy, I was about 16. He shook my hand and thanked me for being at the show. It was worth every penny. Great memory.

I grew up in Iran and loved rock music even though we weren't allowed to listen to it. I remember coming across from band because I found a CD in an underground market and when I realized that Amir Derakh was also of Iranian background I was completely amazed lol. I made all of my friends listen to it and we became fans of Orgy (and Korn, MM, Deadsy, etc). Good times.

Quick mental math. It was 99 when I watched family values? That means I was around 16, ... Even younger, I thought nu metal was cool... Not gonna lie tho. I was a bit frightened by "nu metals"🤷 aggressiveness & out of the ordinary looks. I eventually had everyone's posters, don't laugh at me. But sometimes I'd be watching them like 🤔 they're bad! They're too much. If our parents knew we were watching this... I used to live in the northwest corner of Ohio. So we'd always skip states over to see concerts. My parents didn't know -most of the times. But they'd end up saying they trusted me. I even rember someone elses parents that was all "do your parents know where you guys are at? I wanna see your id!" Like dude chill, we're not even bad kids 🖕😤. But I remember seeing orgy, they were w/ hole. And prob someone else, I don't remember. I wonder if they ever got my bright colored Crayola markered poster 🤭. I remember hearing rhcp scar tissue song in between their sets too. All like I love this song 🤕 & 🛬 zoom. Sh flew over my head :/. It's not like I actually paid attention... Gah. Had no clue it was about damn poppin cheeries in the bathroom stall. I guess that arena had jokes. Orgy is one of the few bands from the Nu Metal scene that really holds up in my opinion - mostly because of the strong influence they took from 80s new wave and synth pop, rather than going for the rap rock sound most of their peers were doing. The music sounds a lot less dated. Hell, they were a bit ahead of their time with the new wave revival stuff, now that i think of it - considering bands like The Killers later took that idea and ran with it. Candyass and Vapor Transmission are still usually in my phones mp3 folder. I did fall off after they kinda strayed from that synth guitar sound with the third album though. But it's really a shame they're thought of as a 'one hit wonder' (and even worse that they're considered a one hit wonder who's one hit was a cover song - their original work is great) if people remember them at all.

This song single handedly changed my life. Put me on a musical journey towards rock and eventually playing the guitar. Didn’t even have a clue that this was a New Order song as a kid. I must have worn out the poor cd. Grown to love the original too. Thanks Orgy!!!!
