Also, maybe it's just me but I was really hoping to hear more of Aeralie's voice. Your music is mind blowing stand alone, but there's something about her voice that takes it to another level entirely. I'm a huge fan of both of your works so I really hope to see more of the two of you. Good stuff, man. Bravo. Gotta find a way to dump these onions someplace now.......

If you listen to the whole DE soundtrack, you'll notice I'm actually featured throughout most of the previously unreleased content. The DE add ons are special because they place an emphasis on Naru's story, not Ori's. Be sure to listen to all of the content, it's all beautiful and pure in its own right, I'm confident you won't be disappointed!

Some of the best music I have ever heard. If video games were appreciated like movies, this would be known as one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.
@bluecarrotrm7 жыл бұрын
It is absolutely shaming that this score hasn't been showered with accolades. This is easily one of the best scores for a video game in the last decade and is a contender for my favorite score of all time in any medium. Evocative, enchanting, immersive, fantastic in the literal sense. There only a few themes but they are bent to convey a range of emotion that would make Will Smith give up acting. The use of the full orchestra, not just the strings and brass, exhibits an excellent understanding of the particular voice for each instrument. I am in love with the oboe in this. Over all, the music is haunting. That is, it possesses you and refuses to leave even after the sound has stopped. I know that my thoughts are only a tiny drop in a river of praise for this work but I couldn't not express my gratitude for this incredible work. I look forward to what you bring to Whisps, sir.

I absolutely LOVE the music for the Naru storyline and the new areas. "A Closer Understanding of the Past" is right now in my top favorites for the Ori OST. so good... standouts for me are | Title Screen [prototype] * The Mists Cleared * A Closer Understanding of the Past (12:40 - 15.04 such a gorgeous and cathartic theme, love how Ori's theme is incorporated using violin 13:45) * Through the Darkness * Main Theme - Definitive Edition (which segues into 'Swallow's Nest' really nicely) * Title Screen [unused] * Hiding from Kuro (awesomely eerie) * Arrival at the Sunstone (32:23 GORGEOUS and heartrending!!!) * and Rolling Through the Forest.... Not that any of the others are lacking of course, lol my absolute favorites on the original soundtrack are | Up the Spirit Cavern * The Ancestral Trees (use as an alarm on my phone... means it's time to write a new short story) * Climbing the Ginso Tree (the percussion just builds and builds and builds, getting richer and more dramatic as the track progresses) * Home of the Gumon (0.40s - 1.39s = an indescribably beautiful lament... a song for those we love but who through tragedy we may have lost) * and Riding the Wind (had this on replay for 6hrs straight one fine rainy day) * lol okay stopping now .... I use Ori's tracks as alarms on my phone so I can hear beautiful music throughout my day... just want to say thanks for loving music so much and putting that love into your craft, and for doing that so completely and so eloquently

I can think of one song that still wasn't released. It's a segment from Sunken Glades that plays following the usual theme from that area. It's a very subtle and quiet segment, used more as a transition, but I feel it enhances the feeling of the first area in profound ways with feelings of hopelessness and mystery. It's that segment of music that really enhances the theme and brought me into enjoying this game immensely.
