I think the ending perfectly wraps up the story of Ori. Really did come full circle in the end and that bombshell that the narrator was Ori all along. Best game I’ve played in years.

Gene Frisby The final moments with Shreik were incredible. Imagine getting the final blows in while also trying to stay aloft, not an easy task, you have only the black flames raining down in order to bash off of just fo stay in the air while avoiding Shreik’s swooping attacks. Not an easy feat.

This makes me wonder about the first game's plot. So, we knew that shit went down because Mama Owl flipped when her child dropped because of the light. Before that, everything was still nice and dandy. In the second game, shit got even worse, and all kinds of creature lost their mind because of the Decay; which led me to believe that Mama Owl was the one who kept the Decay at bay. So what I would really want to know is: was there any chances that the previous tree and Mama Owl is hand in hand, like how Ku and Ori was buddy until that tragic event?

Nibel and Niwen are 2 different lands, what happens in one seems to only affect that land. The reason Niwen went through the Decay wasn’t because of the things that happened in Nibel, it’s because the Willow (Niwen’s Spirit Tree) died.

If you think about this was Ori’s final evolution anyway. All of the spirits eventually become trees that protect an area. Think of all the spirits that gave us powers. Ori came from the Spirit tree as a small leaf and he was chosen to become a giant willow to protect an entire land. Beautiful

On the 2nd boss fight I actually managed to reach the ledge on the left by just jumping and proper positioning. I don't know if you could jump there during the boss fight but I went back to the left right after the boss. Can't check cuz my laptop is need of repairs.

Oh man, I think I died to that spider boss and that final boss more times than I died in the entirety of the Dark Souls franchise I am not even kidding... He died to the bosses a lot of times for sure, you can also see where he cut things out, and if you played the game, there are certain parts when you kind of must die to realize something, for instance in the spider boss he already activated the light abillity, meaning he already got to the final stage once and died to the darkness effect. And the sandworm chase had way too many perfect sections. Tl;dr yea he dies a ton just he doesn't put it in the video coz it would be boring to just watch him die again and again. Ori is a precision platformer tho, if you are asking, meaning every small mistake can be fatal. It's one of the harder games you'd play, altho they made the checkpoint system more forgiving. Played on Normal personally. Edit: Also it also means you must be a god in this game to succeed, but the game ensures that you become a god overtime, the final boss literally has you constantly falling to your death for instance, you have to stay afloat using your abillities, but at that point of the game this impossible feat is almost something you're used to from so many chase sequences and extreme platforming gauntlets. Ori always looks just as cool as it plays, as again you pretty much have to be amazing to succeed, which is also why I believe the checkpoints are more forgiving btw. The game knows you'd die several times. Not only that, even the music is designed to naturally loop around when you die, Moon Studios likes to write it's music so it plays alongside the level design, meaning it's written so certain parts of the music play when certain jumps are taken and such, sadly only two examples of it in this video as it's only the boss battle (during shriek's chase sequence and the spider's chase sequence). So anyways the music is conciously designed to loop naturally at any possible point so you still have the best auditory experience. Something that was kind of lacking in the otherwise amazing Ori and The Blind Forest. Look up the Ginso Tree online if you want to know what I am referring to, it's still one of the best sections in any platformer ever in my opinion, the music is absolutely amazing, it's just a shame that this perfectly written track that fits every jump and stunt you do on-point, is taken out of it's sync if you die. Coz obviously then the track keeps playing but you are no longer following it's notes.
