This is definitely my favourite scene in the game by far, due to the fact that this piece of music really captures the moment and signifies what Ori is about as a whole, as you lunge for your life away from the rushing water as a horrifying creature is trying to find an opening to kill Ori, as you see them lurking in the background watching and slamming into structures, not to mention this is happening all at the same time. This is an awesome remix of the water escape scene from the first game, so in fact it's like an upgrade. The level itself really involves all of the techniques you've learned previously in the game, and combines it into the best escape sequence of the entire TWO Ori games. Even if this game is the first Ori game someone is picking up, guaranteed when they play this sequence they'll fall in love with the game if they hadn't already. But hey, that's just my opinion! XD

I haven't played the first game, so I didn't know what the Ginso Tree was. After I played this game I looked at cutscenes from Ori and the Blind Forest and I can see that they have created a whole new level instead of climbing up a tree in part 1. I loved how they changed up the level a little bit and of course the *MUSIC* .

The crescendo at 0:45 is simply euphoric. I don’t know of another game that mixes it soundscape with the music front-and-centre like Ori does.

Keep coming back to this. Ori is one of those series that heavily blurred the line between video game and complete artistic expression imo. Honestly Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps were just pure works of art.

Since you have finished this scene, you can re-experience it without having to start all over again by going to the Main Menu - selecting your save file and select the Watermill in the Speed Trials ... there is a leaderboard for speed running this stage and its amazing!

This sequence really show cases the great design of this game and the subtle techniques used to really create the experience. When this sequence is played correctly, the movements of Ori dodging/bashing from lights as well as grappling go in time of the music and synchronise with the melody.

This scene and the music raising up makes this scene amazing. I replayed this video so many times, not getting bored of it. i was kinda sad I missed out on the first Ori game. But at least I found cutscenes to help me understand the story more :3

This was MUCH easier than the first escape sequence (Ginso Tree) in the first game...I did it on the first try without even getting hit, without knowing what was coming up. But it manages to be more epic and have a lot more spectacle.

Yeah, I'd say it was easier for sure, but at the same time, we're also alot more practiced at the gameplay. I can do all the original sequences first try now as well

Agreed. Definitely easier, I think it's because horizontal platform is a lot easier than vertical imo. But the music in this manages to be even more epic. I did this first try whereas Ginso tree took me about 15 attempts lol

I LOVED this. I was terrified, then Opher freed me, then I knew it was time to run and the music kicked in...just magic. Even better, I did the escape first try, so it had that extra epic factor of surprising me and me successfully escaping. A set piece you have to practise isn’t as sweet to savour. But that was AWESOME. I am not rushing the rest of this game if any of it as close to as good as that was.
