Orianthi's playing is in sync during most of "Black or White". She goes out in the middle section (the Fm breakdown) because it's pre-recorded -- you can hear the tone of the guitar change. She can probably barely hear herself because the pre-recorded playback would be very loud and her guitar is necessariliy covered up by the taped recording.

Jennifer Batten, hands down. Orianthi Panagaris was good, but just look at Jennifer Batten's featured slots on Dangerous: Live from Bucharest. Batten was Michael Jackson's equal in performance, while Orianthi was still a tiny bit green. However, remember that a) Orianthi was 25 when the This Is It rehearsals happened, and Batten was 34 on the Dangerous tour -- that's nine years' experience; and b) This Is It was never meant to be released, so Orianthi was rehearsing, not performing.
