Hi Oliver. Totally agree with you on these Strapcode bracelets. They dramatically improve the look and feel of quality on Orient and Seiko (among others). I regularly exchange my original bracelets for these.

I splurged for a Strapcode bracelet for my Kamasu. I have the burgundy dial one and decided to pair it with the Strapcode jubilee style. I like jubilee style bracelets, plus the burgundy dial seemed slightly "dressy" as a diver and thought it would go with the jubilee style quite well.

Hi! Great review.! Tempted to buy the strap code. Would you say the strap code is more of an upgrade in quality rather than looks? I can see it tapers more which I like. But apart from that is there much of a difference in looks compared to the original strap?

This 2021 version of the Kamasu looks so good with the fumé dial. I Understand why you chose this three-link strapcode bracelet as stylistically it's the most akin to the original bracelet. However, I would even prefer the jubilee style bracelet for this watch.

That taper makes all the difference. I have a mako II USA and I cant stand the bracelet. It's so clunky and thick. The 2mm taper was not enough.

Hi olivier ! If you had to choose only one, what would be your pick between the Kamasu 2 and the San Martin SN017 / San Martin 6200 Vintage Diver ? I have a hard time deciding between the branding and the design originality of Orient on the one hand and the technical qualities of San Martin (which seem to be better) on the other … In a word, for you who tried both, which is the best value for money? Thank you Maxence. Really there is no bad choice between these ones. For quality and style I, would go for the Vintage Diver. That would be my pick but barely, no wrong answer here, it depends on what you want.

the strap code bracket has male end links which would increase the effective lug to lug

Do you maybe know what's the lug-to-lug when you take the new endlinks into account? I see it makes it quite a bit longer because of male endlinks on the strapcode.

Did you put the Seiko fat spring bars on that mesh bracelet? You might be able to remove it with the dental floss method. You can find some tutorials on KZbin!

I have the same problem when closing the clasp on my Strapcode Super-O for Kamasu. ¿Did you fix it? or ¿do you know why that happens? I have to press down really hard near the end of the clasp, but I fear I might damage it overtime.

Yes, you actually have to press the twin buttons when closing it, then it will be much easier and I believe that's the way they are designed (I learned this the hard way after bruising my wrist)

I just had a jeweler say they couldn't install the bracelet because I think the end link didn't have enough space to clear the watch itself and snap into place. Think I should try another jeweler or contact Strapcode? I ordered the exact watch and bracelet from the description.

This is very strange, it's supposed to fit! Try another jeweler and if that doesn't work contact strap code for a refund

I did read a 3 star review on Amazon that said something like buyer beware, some people are sending certain parts back to Strapcode, and newer buyers are getting those scraps. I'll try another, and if the problem continues, I'll probably ask Strapcode for a replacement. Really want this bracelet.

After some back and forth with Strapcode's customer service, they had me send it back. I want to try again, but I'm worried I'll just have the same problem again. I tried to use the bracelet in your description with the Kamasu 2. Was there something I was missing about that? Does it only work with the original Kamasu, and I'd need a different one for the gen 2 watch?

Orient just announced a third generation of Kamasus that feature a dial with arabic numbers. It comes in 4 different colours. My favourite is the one with a charcoal grey dial.

It's CRAZY to me that nobody talks about the crown of the Kamasu, Ray and so on. It's close to unusable, way too slippy and when screwed out, it's loose and flimsy as fuck. The optical integration of it is trash aswell. Big drawbag in my eyes.
