Great review. I've personally never been a fan of gold plated watches (unless some fun old vintage specimens), but that doesn't really matter here. Orient Star are really offering great value for the money, even though the price point is a bit higher than their usual offerings. Still better value than much of Seiko models today sadly (saying that as an old time fan of Seiko..).

Me neither actually! This one works so well with it though😊 I just think it looks and feels very elegant and plenty refined. I think I would much rather buy this than a Tissot or Certina dress watch for example😁

you should check out the Orient Star SAF02001S0. it is a dream of a watch and execution of the dial is grand seiko level, looks and feels like 2000 euro watch. literally my favorite gold plated watch. in my opinion competition for this watch designwise starts at a few grand with jlc only downside is a mineral glass but it is a dresser. however i will try to exchange it through my watchmaker

Hi! That’s awesome to hear! The blue was really difficult to capture on film! It’s so vibrant and changes a lot depending on the light. I’m sure you will be positively surprised still with the blue dial since the most beautiful looks never quite showed up nicely on camera! What a Superb Vid M8 you really did the Gothic Justice. The White Dial is the one to get. The quality is immense for the money i have no regrets owning one ;)

That rose gold case with blue dial is really striking! Also, the deployment clasps on the straps are a godsend, particularly if you have an expensive strap (such as crocodile or alligator, or even fine leather). It's easy to put on and it really does help to keep the watch strap looking nice, without the creases that form with buckle-style straps. I wish every one of my watches had the deployment clasps!

The color combo does give relly nice contrast and depth! I agree with you abount the deployant claps! Still haven’t gotten around to using them tho..

Hmm I would have to go with the cocktail time myself. It's pretty much half the price of the Orient Star. The rose gold color is nice, but my personal preference is still steel. Both are great and it comes down to price and preferred color imo.

That is a very attractive watch. I like single fold deployants better than traditional buckles and Orient including one is a nice touch. The butterfly style don’t appeal to me. Nice review.

It really is! Yes it’s a nice touch. Seiko also included one with the cocktail time that I show off a couple of times in the video. The strap on the Seiko does not appeal to me as much as the one on this watch though. And thank you!

I really like this watch , reminds me on the IWC Portofino IW356523 , , day on 3 , round shape , even the hands look similar to the IWC , but this one has Arabic numerals which looks class and small second , The IWC costs about 5300 Euros or 5765 Dollars , the Orient Star on discount 716 Euros or 780 dollars , you can also get it for much less pre owned .

It does remind about the Portofino quite a lot! Great option for it in my opinion.
