Yeah ghosting is kind of a thing here in Japan because people don’t like direct confrontation, and for the same reason, people on the receiving end also kind of accept it in some cases. But that thing (not showing up after hours of train ride) happened to you in this video is whole on another level! That is so disrespectful and unacceptable even in Japanese standards! (because wasting someone’s time is viewed as one of the biggest sins in Japan) Probably that person is just a scumbag.

I've been disappointed by mostly everyone in my life. So, I've just learned that being my best self is all the friendship I need. I'll always be kind, but I won't seek that feeling of yearning for a friend anymore. People sometimes just simply don't know how to be honest. I'm very blunt and I see things for what they are, one can articulate that without hiding the truth and making someone feel worthless or "less-than". Sorry you had to experience this. You helped me recently on some Kanji, you have a good heart. Don't let others bad hearts stain yours. - A fellow supporter of your channel and all your endeavors.

Then the mini series cemented my belief that I had to visit. I visited most of sites of William Adams life and journeys in Japan, and as a result experienced most of the issues you highlighted in this video. I have driven in many countries but except for the highways in Japan, I'm afraid of many of the town roads, because a two way road isn't wide enough for one vehicle and a bicycle. Yeah, I was upset about it, but it's not worth getting angry about after it's over. I'm just sad it ended the friendship.

The man in the market said that he has been in business since Showa 25 years. In other words, Showa 25 = 1950, so it seems that it has been open for about 71 years.

Green tea ice cream is awesome. Never been to Japan, but this delicious treat is common in Japanese restaurants in California. I love various flavors of mochi too.

Your EX friend not showing up is a big loss for HIM. On a brighter note that green tea ice cream made my mouth water and the music you used for the dog gift store made me laugh. Thanks for another great video...
@OrientalPearl4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I'm glad you liked the music because I had to change it one time. There was music playing in the background of that store and KZbin picked it up and flagged the video the first time I uploaded it. So I had to cover up the music and reupload it.

I have been hanging out for something that is szechuan hot. Nothing in Tasmania is even close. A restaurant in Brisbane, queensland.... was spot on. The taste, the FIRE was what i expected

The tea flavored ice cream shocked me. Colonel Sanders dressed in Japanese garb is just not right........I died laughing! I’m sorry your friend ghosted you but I am glad you shook it off and made the most of it. I’m impressed you can get on a train/subway that crowded. It looked so uncomfortable. You are really embracing the culture nicely!

Ha ha! I got on the train because I had no other choice. Do that or walk 3 hours home.

I'm so happy that so many people from Brazil are interested in Japan!

@@OrientalPearl Brazil has the largest number of Japanese and descendants outside Japan, it may be due to this, altough I am not a descendant at all hahaha. I wish I could be there and be your tour friend, I certainly wouldn't be making excuses and would appear hahaha

Love to watch your vids, educational and relaxing. Love the editing too. Just wondering: is it normal to use the sidewalk for bikes? Greetings from the Netherlands.
@OrientalPearl4 жыл бұрын
Hello Netherlands. Yes people ride bikes on the sidewalk all the time here. People don't really ride in the street.

One uncomfortable thing I noticed about my time in Tokyo was people moving away from me and my French, German, and British colleagues when we entered the subway. We noticed sometimes when we took a seat (alone or with eachother), people next to us would get up and chose a new seat away from us. We were all mostly based out of Shanghai, and it was never the case there nor our respective hometowns. Not something necessarily bad, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't make us feel unwelcome. Any insight on this?
@OrientalPearl4 жыл бұрын
You're right. That happens to me sometimes. If you were talking on the train it may have been because of that. But I ride alone and I'm silent, yet people still avoid me sometimes. I think it just throws people off to see a foreigner sometimes even in Tokyo. In those cases I just have a little extra room on the train.

This is such a fun-to-watch vlog with probably the least spoken Chinese. Oh, and great to know what became of the mischievous-looking young lady on that packed train. :D
@OrientalPearl4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there wasn't much Chinese in this video. I switch it up a little sometimes. Yes, that young lady ended up sticking around Japan.

Me and my parents planned to visit Japan after the Pandemic but, now the price for the plane ticket cost around RM 1,500, it is a kind of a deal to take, but we’re still thinking wether to visit Japan now, or later.
@OrientalPearl4 жыл бұрын
After the pandemic.... who knows when that will be. Japan has closed it's boarders to 111 countries. International tourism is dead right now.
