After Nusrat's death, the rest disbanded and went seperare ways. Nusrat's brother, Farukh (sitting on Nusrat's left) stopped singing. Most went with Rahat who wanted to continue singing. They helped Rahat become as good as he is. One by one they all died. As of now only Dildaar (Tabla player) is alive but retired and Rahat is alive and doing well.

The lyric of his qawallis or gazals or songs (actually they are not songs, but are devotional spiritual groaning) that express deep relationship with Allah, God , Bhagwan, God, Almighty or whatever one prefers to call). I almost always have tears when I think of the words.

Has anyone done some study on the qawalies of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan? They are definitely worth a PhD on mysticism and devotion of high level. Apart from singing the rendition of the tunes and the changes in the tunes inside each Qawaali is super.
