Thank you, great tutorial. My bag was made from fabric measuring 15” x 45” I did French seams also, and although I love the bag size…the finished look still looked slightly ‘off’, not like your finish look …not sure where I slipped up. Decided to box the corners and i think it looks visually better, not like yours, but better than before boxing the corners. Thanks for your tutorials

It is slightly off due to not having the correct measurements. You needed to add the seam allowance to these measurements - e.g the fabric for the medium sized bag is 14.5 x 42.5 inches hellosewing.com/origami-bento-bag-pattern-tutorial/

Hi. What happens if you don't box the corners

Boxing the corners adds instant volume to the bag. You can skip the step and see whether you like the bag without boxed corners. If not - you can always go bag and box them later. It's not that difficult, I promise
