I picked up the 325i along with the various customization options when CIG first offered that. Aside from my poorly chosen weapon upgrade pack, I really like the majority of the Origin's 300 lineup. The three things I would like to have turned out differently are: the *awkward access ladder, the privacy free bathroom design, and the lack* *of* *a* *passenger's chair* . All three of these design choices fit poorly to the role of a 'luxury' personal ship, which I see as essentially being an owner flown Learjet. The ladder ought to be biz jet stairs or a power lift, the bathroom offers no privacy (door is open when in use, which is bizarre, esp with skylight), and the lack of a passenger seat for your significant other, or hired pilot with passenger is weird. Gorgeous otherwise.

Jason, unless it changed recently the bed can be sat upon, and if course so can the toilet. The RSI Mantis has the same privacy free toilet too. As a one person ship, guess they are not too concerned about privacy. At least we have a toilet. :)

@@ericwollaston5654 My criticism comes from a place where I don't think 'Origin' should be settling for 'At Least we've got ....' This is supposed to be a luxury brand exercise - not Drake design austerity. ............................................................. I suspect the 'metrics' frequently get in the way of the kinds of super compact arrangements we see in real life business jets or boats, but it still comes across poorly as representing 'luxury' living. .................................................................... Same as for no proper passenger seat. I find it ridiculously implausible that a a company like Origin would develop this sort of spacecraft as a 'single seat' ship - when having a passenger (wife, 'friend', pilot, business partner, guard, etc.) would so expand the utility and market of such a product line as the 300 series. .................................................................... If I were to offer a solution to the 'exposure' problem of the 300 toilet, I'd have the whole toilet area deploy into the hallway area to give more room for the internals (might also be worked into being an airlock to preserve pressurization for the ship).

Three years ago, when I first saw a clip of this ship and the game , I knew that it was going to one of my first. I got a 100 as my starter, just upgraded the 100 to the 300 war bond. The 300 is a joy to fly and a must have for a starter. Currently I have the 315P and two 300's Just something about the 300 series is magical.

I REALLY like the Origin 300 series. I personally have the 315p with an extra investment in customization. Amazing use of space, and should be a fully useful and pleasant ship for starting out.

@@Farrister Well, first I bought the 315p upgrade to stealth components, it's the Silverhawk so it has Sterling metallic paint, upgraded to the sport yoke but kept the standard comfy seat with white leather. All trim is aluminum. Bought the cofi maker, food maker, photo frame, sound system, and clock to prepare for survival mechanics.

Farrister, the 300 series can actually come to a rolling landing. Try it, it's an enjoyable experience - just make sure the rock count is low.

Just earned the money to buy myself a 325a (slightly better weapons - for self-defense, obviously ;) and a neat thing I just remembered is FOIP, with which you can actually see a video transmission of the person with whom you are currently speaking. Thus the computer panel in the bed is really cool.

I don't regret my purchase of the 325a, and though it has its limitations, it is "my ship" (with LTI also). I have the cutty black also but I use the 325a as my daily driver (cutty is regulated to hauling the ROC). I do wish they would fix the missile bay issue. I have found that I can easily accomplish bounty missions all the way to CS3 (no tried a CS4 with it yet). For PvP bounties though I need something more robust and powerful. I can't decide between sniping with an Eclipse (for bounties), direct attack with a Vanguard Harbinger or a stealth sneak up with the Sabre. Jury still out on that one. Until then, when I battle I will do it in style. PS - just found your channel, I was sure to subscribe and follow. Thanks for the good work.

Ah thank you for the comments :) the 325A was my very first pledge so it always has a special place for me! I think the Ares might be an interesting option when that comes out for PvP bounties

I keep hearing "November" so I will be sure to check it out if it shows up on the radar. Just need to watch the budget. I'm sort of new to SC. I "joined" back in 2014 but never really did anything until this past Invictus Week. Now it may cause a divorce if I don't take care of my addiction.

Small mistake in armament, the ship has 1 x size 4 and 2 x size 3 weapons. I think at the time of your recording the nose weapon came as a gimbled size 3 by default, but it looks like they changed it to a fixed size 4 now.

Yes - sort of. Sometimes I've had them bug out on me, but sometimes they work. Just don't try to also load cargo at the same time!

Got rid of my 325 because a luxury ship does not have a pilot ladder. They need to remake it to be like a private jet staircase that folds out. Like what the concept pictures of the 100 series will have. That screen in bed will eventually have other functions I would assume.

@@Farrister from outside - i read about a bug if the ship spawns with no weapon loadout the door might not have the open contextual menu appear after pressing F (the cargo compartment appears to not render either.) It looks like it works fine in a normal game instance but in the hangar, no dice.

Yeah the 300 is pretty much "just right" for what it is. But if you want the "best bang for the buck" go with the 325A.

The 325a has insane value. A light fighter with a size 4 hardpoint, eight missiles four of which are size 3, a bed and other amenities, and 4 scu of cargo, which is better than the 0 scu of most fighters.

@@drksideofthewal exactly. All that (and that size 4 gives it more firepower than the Arrow or Gladius) for $5 less than the Arrow. And it's within a couple m/s of those ships for top speed. It is very maneuverable. The coffee maker can satisfy the thirst mechanic. I expect soon the food processor will satisfy hunger. I'm glad I'm not the only one who realizes what a treasure that ship is.
