Interesting. They have essentially combined about 30-40 years of the most iconic and recognizable storylines from various sources into one (so far) cohesive story. It's not original per say, but it does seem to be done well (so far). Look forward to seeing where it goes.

What I’m wondering is are they going to go the Marvel route and give Megatron his G2 Tank design, the Animated route and give him a design that’s original but still shares a lot of G1 influence, or is he somehow going to keep his classic look. so they pull Transformers Animated with a scientist finding remains of Megatron. Sadly, in this case it is a very mad scientist instead of a fairly innocent one. As for Duke, be interesting to see how they incorporate him into GIJoe. It may depend on whatever the doctor gave him.

the issue covered here has been out for some time. they cannibalised megatron for his tech like cobra's version of insecticons and new experiments on tech. optimus prime used the matrix of power to save humans in another issue. starscream destroyed skywarp to sap his energy because they were low on energons/energy. a pet peeve of mine is that duke is supposed to have a short flat top hair cut in the military not a kurt cobain hairstyle even when he was younger.
