At least with the chosen one Trope the character is actually flushed out and we get depth. With the girl who's the key to everything she becomes pretty much a human MacGuffin, a tool that drives the entire plot. Hardly considered a character. And as a POC I have no respect for Riri Williams when I found out she existed. Because once again the writers are just trying to Bank off the fact that she's Black and woman rather than actually writing her with character depth to prove that she's more than just those two things that she's an actual character and not just another token minority. I'll give you an example, Storm is definitely a character with depth. And you want to know why it's because the writers behind her actually cared about making a story rather than just pander to minorities.

The problem with the writers of the MCU is the lack of continuity for characters. Do not blame Marvel writers for Hollywood writers poor direction. Riri Williams story starts when Stark went to Chicago. Hollywood is going to put her in Wakanda, which is not the fault of the comic. The writers in Hollywood are woke soldiers seeking to build on the message. So I will not be shocked if BP 2 is poorly done because of underdeveloped characters.

I think IronHeart is a SJW/Woke construct Marvel threw in to satisfy certain groups so they wouldn't be judged a certain way, just like Carol Danvers "Captain Faux (Marvel)" is and has been.
