What I find amazing about his character is he has such a tragic backstory, but his actions as a villain are inexcusable. Kidnapping babies, kids, and innocent people, then subjecting them to horrid experiments against their will, its hard to sympathize with him after all the horrors he's committed. Its such a good way of writing because on one hand he's a victim of tragedy but at the same time his actions are beyond evil, so its hard to choose between hating him or sympathizing with him

This Origin needed an Update. Essex had created four separate clones of himself with different playing card symbols, each of whom believed themselves to be the only one and the original, with no knowledge of his death in Bedlam. The clone of diamonds continued to operate as Mister Sinister, further pursuing his knowledge of mutant genetics. The clone of clubs resurfaced over a century later in New York City, operating as Doctor Stasis ever since his arrival from England. The clone of Spades ventured into the stars, becoming a galactic arms dealer specializing in xenogenetics known as Orbis Stellaris. The identity and whereabouts of the remaining clone are presently unknown.

My favorite RPG character I ever made was for Vampire: The Requiem. I thought I had such a cool original idea. He was a 19th century British nationalist who got turned after a shipwreck on an island in the south Pacific and got turned by a vampire islander. He was obsessed with manipulating vampirism to eliminate vampire weaknesses and exemplify the strengths. After setting it down and looking at it for a minute, I realized that I had basically made vampire Mr Sinister.
