I think you hit the crux of the issue when you said "everyone is waiting for this mode to revitalize their interest in the game". Scopely knows that Battleworld will decide the fate of the game in many people's minds and if it is rushed, buggy, poorly done, or any of the other things scopely has done with events recently, the game will be in a much worse state. They have to get this right, it is existential to the game. I agree that we won't see this until likely the February massive patch after the holidays so can spend the time they need to get it right. I think this is why they announced DD8 so early, so there was a new carrot out there while they work on Battleworld. Now with so few people having Mephisto the appeal of this is limited IMO and we are stuck in the same sort of general feeling when we had no CC for a week, a sort of aimless malaise about the direction of MSF.

We also lack any road ahead blog which should be out by now which would at least put some of these things back on the radar or at least get us thinking about it..... or not lol. Not that I expect battleworld updates (or should I?). But, I think not saying anything also makes people wonder what they're doing over there.

Low in man power? 1. why change raid structure? 2. Can they launch battle world without moments earlier at g16-18 lv, Then add in moments + difficulties 6-9 months later? That way it breaths life to the game 2x

I was expecting the Age of X to be like the Apocalypse one.. where you have like 4 or 5 teams you have to get first, then use those in special campaigns

It will be a big blow to us if we don’t get any new permanent content until 2025. That would be very saddening. We will see though. I had no idea that Archangel got the can. I guess that means they are currently looking for a replacement? Not that that positions really matters to us seeing as they are just a voice for the higher ups.

That CM position has been in search of since Cerebro went which was some months ago. This one isn't a new one since AA anyways. They have struggled to fill positions that is needed.

I switched alliances for the Battleworld mode, just to be better prepared…Been waiting for 6 months now. Where is the “open all” orb option? Is it ever coming back? Constant screw-ups on releases of events and characters…constant compensations. Are there intellectually challenged monkeys working at their offices or what?! I love Marvel and I love the game. Love all the characters released. It’s just the constant stability and playability issues that make me wanna puke… If you have any chance of speaking to the $copely, ask them these questions. I know at least 200 people interested in the answer…and half of them are paying players, so the developers should really listen to us, if they want to keep their jobs.

All these decisions are so they can force people to buy the latest teams to make more money. If they want to make more money they need to lower their prices with the exact amount of rewards currently. Right now if you just buy all the (Battle & Strike) Passes [in a year], which are the best value, that's a PS5 + over 6 brand new games.

I hate the mixed origin "teams" at times u can't even use the team for its synergy because the players have different tags

My thoughts say they are not moving away from the origin raid teams. I think they understand people do not buy war defense teams, so they decided to make alpha flight required for the spotlight raids. They then gave them raid call outs to make the players feel like they are "good team", when they could have simply made the nodes around not having raid call outs. They do not make changes unless that change will "maximize profits" (as you read in the job postings).

Actually, ending of the origin trait raids makes a lot of sense. They have been really scraping the bottom of the barrel for skill raids teams lately. Invaders had 4 variants of existing characters on the team. Spider society they had to force “skill” tags on characters they would never have put skill on in the past.

I really did not like the Invaders release, but also just slapping skill on Spider Society was VERY lazy.

The msfpv has a spreadsheet. They keep track of farmability happening within 4 months, as well what game modes are characters are viable in and for how long.

I think something like characters being viable can be subjective. Even raid teams now you can argue they're usable in PvP at how strong they are. So a lot of this is very subjective.

I really hope battle world is still a thing and comes out relatively soon. It's basically msf's version of territory battles in swgoh and for PvE content I think msf is really missing a game mode like that. It would be very unfortunate if it gets delayed to the far future or doesn't come out at all

All the envoys announced battleworld was delayed awhile ago. There will still be origin raid teams. People buy them. The whole point of the spot light raids is to "shine the spot light" on random teams you never would have bought every few months. They have basically just added a new origin "spotlight"

People will buy raid teams regardless of how they're structured. But, it changes the way in which they are released and usable elsewhere in other events. And for the record what you're describing is not what they said at all, in fact they made very little mention about their intentions.

If it is to get straight up "Team Tag" Requirement, i'd rather keep the origin tags for raid why? Because scopely suck at balancing, like, let's take the current teams, once you reach the last difficulties of raids, Pure Xtrem Xmen Struggle heavily in the boss node, Hivemind seem to beat the boss better if you replace Venom by Skrull, Pegasus and Bifrost die if they get resisted too much. like from what i saw, in spotlight 1.2, even big spider society suffer and preview by content creators make me think Alpha flight will struggle as much if not more, until we get enough stars to barely scrap by. Like i don't think teams should be able to sim all the time, but at least, if i play, and if i play right, i should be able to win consistently, and not pray for a chain of event to align themselves so i don't get wrecked half the time (not counting the bugs, idk what the hell is happening in the mutant nodes, but forge is behaving weirdly there, with dodge not working sometime and his revive sometime, well not reviving people when there is no perma kill abilities on the field). Like Origin gear, you can always work some strategy, send a sacrifice team to absorb annoying move or weaken foes at worst or have a clean up crew if there is just a handful of foes left (like if Xtrem Xmen fail, i send Apoc and some friend to clean up the MLF/Wong that is left). With straight up team tag, it need to work or you are fu**ed, and with scopely, it sum up at tossing a coin to know if you will get past the node in good condition. Straight team tag would also put way more importance on the wallet than the skill of an alliance transforming the raid leaderboard into another auction, because alliance with mostly whale will do difficulty max as they will have the newest team at max stars so they can do the hardest content, alliance with spender will do difficulty middle will have the full team early so they can do content before the rest as for alliance carrying F2P? They will fall in the leaderboard as the newest contents are also the contents that give the most points, and we can easily guess that it could motivate some spenders to move to a higher alliance so they can get bigger rewards by doing the latest content (that F2P can't do until after whatever is teh new team get released)

Greatly Reducing Hording events - the word Reducing does not equal - removing . this means that they "can" still do them.. just not to the extent that they had been previously. it was every other event.. and today.. i cant remember the last time we were expected to use some item that we could hord. you cant really hoard energy.. but they do offer offers to get a leg up on the competition.... People all play the game in different ways.. and some are willing to pay for things.. if someone is willing to pay for antyhing they shoudl get something more than a non spending player. period

Hoarding occurs every single leaderboard event. It's the only way most players can get ahead of the curve because it typically involves energy spending, which means hoarding. Most regular players do not think of doing this, but this is how they get ahead. In this instance they may actually be referring to orb opening events as hoarding and not other resources.

tbh i think them making raids that use specific teams instead of origins wont make much difference, lets be honest the current raid lanes are set up in such a way that you have to use the current origin raid teams anyway or you just get wrecked, the only downside will be if you need to use another team to cleanup, so lets hope that they name a couple of useable teams per section.

So the biggest difference is actually outside of raids. As it sits the majority of them are the same origin + USUALLY also the same location. I think varying this up will make it better for choosing event traits so that most of them are not all the same. Spider Society for example are all hero skill, but also hero city, or city skill etc. They almost all share the same tags.

Zero chance battle world is 2024. Professor X will be April 25. I also think that instead of city, cosmic, or mythic/legendary the nodes will just require the teams like merca for money, and whatever else. We'll get a couple nodes we can use anyone with no specific traits, maybe mythic/legendary section.

There's actually a history (in many games, not just MSF) of ppl quiting when new modes come out. Ppl on the fence use it was a last straw bc they don't want the hassle of learning a new mode

Datacrons ruined swgoh. You buy in on them. Spend mega cores getting to level 9. Level6 they start getting useful. Also they are only good for 3 months

Hey man I took a survey for them. They are floating the idea of auto orb open where THEY open our orbs. At first I was like cool cause I have way to orbs. Then I thought no way I trust scopely I’d rather them open ten at a time.

datacrons in swgoh are horrible, pay to win ridiculous temporary buffs, its rng based where you have to roll the crons to get the overpowered ones. would be terrible for msf

This is exactly what the original Moments was likely to be. I think though given the delay there's a chance its going to go through new iterations. At least its my interpretation that it was going to be a temporary buff for characters that could be potentially P2W
