ORIGINAL 1987 Otis Elevonic 401 Traction Elevators - 2 Eaton Harbour Centre - Hampton, VA

Otis Elevonic elevator systems truly are neat. These elevator are no exception, they run great. Unfortunately, they are in the process of being modernized. It is worth noting that the newly modernized elevators went up to 11, and at a later time while I was here, the Elevonic elevator mysteriously unlocked floor 11. Who knows. Andrew and Jeff were here but they were doing their own things.

I wonder why 10 & 11 are locked on the middle scenic elevator number 2. On the modded ones floors 10 & 11 are unlocked & on the service elevator 10 & 11 are unlocked. That’s my color blue can on the service elevator. You can only go to 9 on the middle elevator. On the service elevator 10 is unlocked.

no on the service elevator 11 is locked 12,14 and penthouse are restricted floors so don't go there

When was this taken? If recent, I actually think it’s safe to say they only modded 1, & aren’t going to to the rest, as when Andrew was here back in late-2016, these were in the exact same state.

If you watched his previous video of the modded elevators here, they did modernize the far left elevator too recently. But this one and the service car still remain original.

I peeked in the window of this building last night, and the middle car is still original.

Apparently though the middle car has been OOS for a while. Some people suspect they might be cannibalizing parts from it for keeping the service car running.
