… and then of course its relative minor counterpart - I love the way you have almost inverted the Bb major melody and provided us with a thematic link over that mysterious, Mancini walking Bass. It conjures up all sorts of imagery on its journey. And I am writing this AS I listen and almost knew you were heading towards that Gm6/9 chord - just SO right Steve - another fantastic duo of Preludes - all the best 👏🏻 Gareth

Ah.. yes trust you to spot that! it was written following directly on from the Bb major so quite unconsciously has a similarity in melody but inverted. On reflection some would say these pieces are hackneyed ideas.. but I think that was the point, not many under the age of 60 or so is familiar with these classic old styles which I love. Thanks Gareth and on to the next project!

Hi Steve - been waiting for the latest Preludes… I love the familiar feel of both the RH riff and the LH groove and poignantly the way they interlock. And you are not joking in that Bb one - that is quite a piggish pattern for LH but a lovely challenge with the added adrenaline rush of staying stuck in the black keys. Such an appropriate style for this key 🎼 👌🏻 great stuff Steve

Yes, not the best key C major easier but hey who want's it easy. Until a few months ago I'd never played any boogie woogie so left hand still getting better!
