I was there in Rock in rio 1985, Cozy's drums hit me in the chest through the gigantic PA, a lifetime experience!! Thanx Thanx for the oportunity to see closely this piece of music history, thank you!!

I remember I had hopes WS came down here to Argentina after Rock In Rio 1985, but nope... I finally got to see him in 1992, when he came with Brian May. A hell of a drummer, the greatest of all... as well as a humble, lovely man ❤

And back then I became an insane Cozy fan!! He already was my favourite drummer (Since his Rainbow days), but when he joined Michael, that was it. My favourite guitar player and my favourite drummer. BOOOOOM!!!!! Btw, this is an amazing kit, the Slide It In. I remember in 1984 I watched the video for Slow An' Easy over and over again, just to watch Cozy play (sorry, David). 40 years ago, I still do.

I was a backline tech on a gig in Merthyr FC ground, I think it was May 2008 and I helped Bob set his kit up. That's the only time I have met him though we're on the same circuit. He's VERY well thought of and respected amongst all musicians and drummers of South Wales. Wish I knew him better. He's a cracking drummer indeed!!

Awsome! I saw Cozy with Rainbow a couple of times. Two songs with the Dio lineup, cuz Ritchie walked off stage after two songs in New York City...ass. And once with Graham Bonnet. A true powerhouse!

Always thought must be a nice guy. ...animal lovers always are now I know it for sure. Great drummer !! Saw him in Super Drumming also. Was on TV long time ago. Simon Phillips...lots of other drummers. Also filmed in a Church. Think it was a German program. I am a 65 Dutch guy...anyone remembering this too 😊😊

OK, so I play and I’m pretty good but what blows my mind? Is the size of the drum shells that the great mostly UK drummers used! Maybe outside of Ian Paste and I know that these great drummers had standard size kits as well but on tour these mammoth kits I don’t get the ergonomics, but they made it work and damn well indeed mates!

Maybe he did briefly at some point. Certainly played their bass drum pedals but the red sparkle Ludwig was their from Jeff Beck to Rainbow. Moved to Yamaha during there Rainbow era then with them all the way to his death.

Soooo, the video was respectable and to the point, ALBEIT... you shot it in *_"PORTRAIT MODE"_* ( Phone camera in a pure vertical position...) Had you shot it in *_"LANDSCAPE MODE,"_* (Phone camera in a pure horizontal position...) you would have captured a much better field of view, OR A much better video with respect to the entire drum set, drum stage and the entire surrounding area!! So, just for "💩's and 😅's," from now on, try shooting all videos in *_"LANDSCAPE MODE..."_*

I caught a drumstick from cozy on the slide it in tour I still have it to this day,I got it at the Richfield coliseum in Richfield Ohio,the rock hall wanted me to donate it for their stick collection and I said no I couldn’t part with it,rip cozy you are missed my friend!!!!!!
