Her undubbed voice is sooooo soulful and beautiful . I don't know why they always dubbed her great performances. I'm assuming due to audio quality and wanting to be perfect. I remember seeing this undubbed performance a few years back and wondering , "WHY WAS THIS DUBBED??" Her runs are more clear and precise sounding on the undubbed version . Sure, there's rasp and a little tension, but that adds to the unique texture/tone of her great voice.

Her dubbed is a bit too nasal. Undubbed was just better by miles but then, in the last chorus, the dubbed one has both of their voices heard in a better, more complimenting volumes.

The undubbed version shows she is human and even through the rasp she executed and held "the way" with vibrato and good weight and color. This was 1999. She hadn't sung Hero in the original key since 1995.
