it's a wafer cylinder lock and the number is the code for a replacement key to be cut. It would have to match the cylinder face code. Nothing special about the number only to a locksmith so he can look up the code to cut a new key. Would save him time instead of replacing the whole cylinder if key was lost. Good video tho. love to see the Retro stuff of that day.
