Skarmory has always been one of the best Pokémon in the games. A bulky hazard setter with the ability to do damage. Now with its new redux form and mega evolution here in emerald elite redux, its a speed demon with power. When I see Skarmory, I think of that Soulsilver Nuzlocke I made where my skarmory defeated the champion’s Charizard with fly and pure luck. Unfortunately I lost that battle after his Dragonite froze my Nidoqueen.

How they work in practice: Base skarm actually is an amazing Mon that finally is able to leave it’s rival corv in the dust, since lead coat makes it ABSURDLY bulky on the physical side. Besides that it just does its usual skarm thing: setting spikes, being physically immortal, and phasing out mons to cause frustration. Mega has a kit more geared towards an offensive style: scrapyard encouraging replacing the hazard move slot for a boosting set like agility, and power core to turn its defense into an offensive weapon, and even is also indirectly hinted at by the fact that it loses lead coat, making it frailer overall than base. Tbh I think regular is better since it’s offensive kit doesn’t really work, considering the stab combo isn’t that good and even with body press you still have common walls such as the rotom forms (since they have phantom, making them part ghost), aegislash, and more. Redux mega skarm (Base redux skarm is not a viable Mon at all) On paper, it actually sounds threatening: double dance sets boosting stab flame tongues and cuts, while having a useful set up typing and unmatched speed…. However it isn’t really like that because it suffers from one brutal problem that can be seen in regular mega skarm It’s typing offensively sucks. It’s very easy to wall its stabs, mainly with water and opposing fire types, and from these types there are moves with very mediocre bp, even molten blades can’t help on that front. It needs the boost or even both to actually be a threat, and that’s still not easy since it’s weaknesses are very easy to come by: fighting, water, corrosion, and even mold breaker earthquakes, which are a lot more common than you think, what with mons like excadrill.

I’m a huge fan of Mega Skarm redux, Momentum and Speed Force is unbelievably fun to use, add on Autotomize being DDance on steroids. Would really like to see you cover Reuniclus redux next, has a really interesting gimmick but I don’t think I’m able to use it well haha

I had trouble with that too. Go into the pokemons movelist. There's a button listed in the top right that you cam press that will let you choose and replace moves.
