I think swapping ash with wally instead of may would've been better so you can show that newbie how to catch pokemon in the wild. That would've made sense because ash rarely catches something and rather makes societies rejects tag along (like pauls chimchar) or throws balls out of desperation (tauros)

So it got supercharged by iron tailing a mechanical raiku in wattsons gym. After his loss, wattson was totally down because he didn’t understand why he lost so poorly. Technically ash didn’t cheat, but Gary wouldn’t see it that way

So the way I do it, I use the decomp files and compile them letting me change the code directly. You’re likely using a program to alter the code with hex or something, and I’m not familiar with that I’m afraid
