I think this was the best interview ever on Speed Street. What an incredible man. I remember Oriol from the very beginning and loved him pushing the boundaries, to seeing him walking through the Portland paddock with a black shirt that read “Will drive for food.” Also bring back the DP01! It was crushing to have the best car in open wheel racing die a premature death at the hands of the IRL.
@ConorDaly228 күн бұрын
love to hear that! I had a smile on my face the whole time during the interview. the DP01 was insane!

That was one of the best interviews you've ever done. Fans love that kind of insight on the sport, and Oriol is great at telling these stories. I'd love to see him again in the show!

Probably one of the best racing interviews I have ever watched. Was only going to watch for a minute or two but do remember Oriol Servia very well. A very very interesting man and some great questions. Normally I watch the dual airbags - Hinch and Rossi...wait, triple...Thim. But this was a good one Conor/Chase. so I would LOVE for the NXT series to do more Ovals... I also think it needs to have some INDYCAR drivers come and do a NXT race or two... Like the Cup drivers do for Xfinity... And theres def some INDYCAR drivers who would benefit from more Oval time (Lundgaard, Armstrong, etc). Great show (as always)! Can't wait to see you at Barber!!!!

I dont think we will ever see indycar drivers do NXT because there is no point for us. No one makes money doing that sadly. IndyCar is also so much physically harder than NASCAR, we dont want to add anymore work than we already have.

Love hearing from Oriol. To hear a couple of drivers talk about a racing like Oriol and Conor are is do frickin cool. As a guy racing Formula F I can’t imagine being quick enough to feel “putting 1 click of rebound” in the dampers. When you are slow the car is always neutral LOL.

I loved this interview. I think fans, especially those of us who have been around a long time, would enjoy hearing from more drivers who no longer race. Fun to hear how things have changed for drivers. You said you don't understand why people hate Josef. Hate is a strong word but I have lost respect for and trust in him. His press conference after the disqualification started fine. He admitted they made a mistake and I thought that was a real class move. Then he said the team convinced themselves the rules had changed. I found it hard to believe that could happen with a team like Penske. Scott and Will both said they knew there was no rule change. Josef disrespected fans. Yes, he's doing good things for the visibility of Indycar but it will take time for me to forgive him.
@ConorDaly226 күн бұрын
we will have to get some more drivers on from past eras for sure. i dont think josef disrespected fans at all i mean it's impossible for anyone to understand the situation he was in unless you're a competitor yourself. i think it was viewed a bit more aggressively than any other past situation where teams or drivers have been DQ'd. its not the first time something like this has happened and it wont be the last that's for sure! no one is justifying the actions. just trying to help people understand it wasnt some malicious act against certain people

Conor love the show. Your interviews are great. One thing…uhhh…who appointed you The Circulation Police? It’s getting a little old. You’re not exactly setting the world on fire over a 10+ year career, either. And I know, I know…you haven’t always had the best equipment and there are stories behind the scenes that you can’t talk about, etc etc. But Sting Ray hasn’t had the best equipment. And Santino hasn’t had the best equipment…so you’re entering “who does this guy think he is” territory. Just say’in. A little less judgement of other drivers and not so much Circulation Police. Not a good look. Coming from a fan.
@ConorDaly224 күн бұрын
i'm going to try and say this as respectfully as possible... the foyt cars were penske cars last year. and to compare me to sting ray is a wild one. both of our rookie years were with coyne... i'll let you go ahead and compare the results there. he's a great guy as i've said many times. and santino did a great job last year so not sure why you're bringing him into this. As a driver I know more than a fan, respectfully. so i'm trying to give you more information to maybe shape what you think more accurately. i'm not saying anything different to what most if not all others are thinking. saying i've had 10 years in indycar is also wildly inaccurate haha that's a bit off considering there were many years where i did just one or two races. but hey, hope this helps
