Connor, thanks for your nice remembrance of Brian Matusz. He was a really skilled pitcher as you said. and fun to watch. Buck trusted him in pressure situations and he came through. He was a key contributor to some really good Orioles teams. He will always be remembered fondly by Orioles fans.

Sad news about Brian for sure. His lefty v. lefty stats were really, really good even when factoring in his starter stats. If memory serves, he only allowed 1 stolen base in over 200 relief outings.

I love the 2012 Orioles too. After we won the Texas wild card game, my dad bought us playoffs tickets because he didn’t know if they would come back. I went to the Yankees Orioles game where there was a 3 hour rain delay and the game finished at 1 am with Jim Johnson blowing the game. But that was the first playoff game I went too. It is not my favorite moment. I went to the Delmon Young game in 2014 ALDS but I was in 5th grade when they first went to the Playoffs and it was a big deal
