So the thing is, if an oriole pitcher hits a Yankee next? Well there’s a good chance he might get tossed? Because whether it was on purpose or not, I got a feeling that the umpire would definitely think it was on purpose,retaliation? I’ve never liked the Yankees.. Orioles’s fan all my life, but I do like judge.. and I did not want him to get hurt like what happened with Mookie…. I don’t think the Orioles pitcher hit judge on purpose. Wouldn’t you guys expect the Yankees are going to be a little mad? Judge being hit & missing a game? So actually, if I was the umpire, when gunner got hit again, I would’ve tossed him! And no, the second time he hit gunner..I don’t think that was on purpose. I do think the first one was! Go O’s!

Not only were they routinely walking multiple batters at a time but Yankee stadium is just a really tough place to concentrate in. Also, if the Yankees really were intentionally hitting guys then that’s just stupid. Gunnar gets hit, immediately steals 2nd on the worst defensive catcher in baseball, and scores. I already know the Yankees and their fanbase are super petty, but I didn’t know they were this dumb.

I would love nothing more than for my birds to take the AL East, but this years Skankees are a much improved team especially adding Soto into an already potent lineup. It is going to be neck & neck all season. I have never ever not once ever liked the Skankees, I mean they throw money around like it's nothing. The Orioles have a window to win now because once this young talented crop of players becomes free agents they will be gobbled up by the big money clubs like the Yanks and Dodgers etc ..

Like way too many games this season, the Orioles had to beat the Yankees AND the home plate ump tonight. The discrepancy in calls was wild. After like the 3rd inning he started getting very biased, giving Yankees a lot of pitches off the plate outside and some low, and took 2 walks away (Adley and Cowser) by not calling pretty clear ball 4s, then they struck out. He meanwhile was not giving O’s pitchers the same calls, and even called multiple strikes balls. Balls entirely in the strike zone too, not just on the black. It was wild. One pitch was soo low that Hyde screamed at the ump who acted like he knew messed up, but didn’t stop screwing us. No surprise, this season the Yankees are 2nd in MLB in ump favor while the O’s have been between 26th and 28th.. and that serious bias was on full display by that home plate ump tonight. Yankees are 2nd, Mets 3rd in ump favor. By a lot. And Joe Torre is in charge of them, and the replay review center is in NY. 🤔

I'm an Orioles fan. Does anyone else remember when we picked up Nestor Cortes in the rule 5 draft? He then pitched like crap, and was sent back to the yankees. I truly believe he did that on purpose, just so he could get sent back. Because almost right after he was sent back to NY, all of a sudden he's one of better pitcher's in the league.

The homplate umpire in this game is concerning to me. Some of our Oriole 2 strike counts that ended up being Yankee walks were too close in the strike ZONE and should've been called strike 3. Instead it kept life in NY, when the inning should have been over! I detect a little favoritism in the Bronx. I hope I m wrong about this. Can some of you give me your honest opinions. I'd appreciate it?

What's up with the defensive brain fart innings the O's seem to b having about every 2nd or 3rd game. In the seventh we get a weak ground ball up the middle nobody wants to field, then Perez fires a fastball at Mountcastle's shoes from 40 ft away on a dribbler, and later in the inning Cowser won't back off a fly ball Mullins was calling for that luckily got caught after colliding. U could tell Mullins was pissed.

my question to kibrel is. if your situational, and runners on first, with your style is it a downfall if he steals second? the next pitch hypothetically he steals third. all this time with one out, is this a downfall, ? if someone hits him in for a run and your only 1 run up? is there any adjustment to be made in your approach for these serious games that will be you on the mound in the near future, because to me it just seems like, there going to steal on you after watching tape

Not exactly how it is drawn up, but a win is a win. Even better, it's against the Yanks in NY. Urias haters over the season have been awfully quiet for a while. Granted, he doesn't play as much, but when he does he can come through like he did in this game. Anyone else focus on the HBP stat? 7 Orioles and 3 Yankees.
