Current got that exact sub in my car about the same size box almost double the port and the box is heavy af too I cut 2 of my fingers last week carrying it to my car and dropped it … I have a jp23 on it but it’ll take more… that’s every bit of a 4000 watt sub one that I think ima keep around for a bit…

You followed the Orion spec in their way off bad like really bad he's going to cook that woofer in a short period of time because it's choking that woofer off like really bad beautiful box dude but the specs that give you are a far cry away from what they actually are love your channel love you work

@@BangingCamry right yes so the TS parameters on the hcca is a far cry from what they actually are isn't not even funny and the specs in which orion tells you to build for this subwoofer is so wrong isn't not even funny so I pulled the ts parameters on my broken in d4 black coil regular addition and built a nasty enclosure the truck was flexing like crazy on less then 2000 watts of power and the dynamic range was amazing but ya the subs can definitely perform well but whatever you do DONT follow what orion says!!!!!

Why is it only 16 Sq in port? That's like half of a sub that size needs right? My skar vxf 12 likes similar size enclosures but they say around almost 30 sq in... 🤔

Sir that not 30 Sq in port cube got that Skar vxf. You take that 30 Sq in and divide it by the ported volume.. actually the sq in on your vxf sub is 15 sq in per cube. Do the math

@@matthewguynn5745 yeah the smaller the air space the more it dampens and restricts the movement of the cone so you need more power to reach full excursion in less airspace. I actually prefer running smaller enclosures as this sharpens the impact and transient abilities of the subwoofer.

@@johnnycorn7225 well after looking Orion does call for 1.5 on these .. so crazy considering people run 8s in that space.. heck my t2 calls for 4cu . It's got a 528oz motor on it that will pull metal a foot away..
