I have this watch and love it. Transparent case back, relatively thin compared to Tudor S&G, Sapphire crystal, date at 6 o'clock, no cyclops glass, very light, low profile, 5days power reserve, keeps accurate time. Made me forget about having a Rolex submariner which is ... unavailable.

Would be a perfect watch for me if it came in other colours than just black. Nothing wrong with black really, just a bit boring, will go with any outfit though.
@lucvandriel2408 Жыл бұрын
Generally, blue and black are the most popular watch face colors. Personally i am a fan of a good blue. If they released this in a blue greyish or perhaps a greyish blue/green, it would almost certainly be a massive hit. The diver 65 has the most balanced dial of all Swiss diver watches in my opinion. It is almost close to perfection. Either way, i will definitely pick one up in 2023 to be my Grail watch.

Great review! I have the Oris Diver 65 with the Selitta movement and love it. I just couldn’t see myself spending so much more for the caliber 400 variant. I picked mine up used for $1000 on leather full kit with 1 year left of warranty
@EsbjornWristwatchReviews Жыл бұрын
Thanks for that! Yes I totally understand. I got this for the movement as much as the model but the expense is significant. I'm hoping that the service intervals and warranty will pay for itself long term.

Thanks for this video, quality is fantastic! In terms of this watch, it really feels like Oris is purposefully teasing me... Ever since the Caliber 400 was first announced, I immediately thought a Divers 65 with a 400 would easily be my perfect watch. Fast forward to this year and it's been a continual case of "so close but so far." The Hodinkee edition was a count-down bezel, the Mr. Porter edition was PVD with no bracelet and now this watch is a 12 hour version. Given that the first 400 release was a typical Aquis with nothing substantial changed, it seems like Oris is making a conscious decision to not release a regular 65 with their new movement. I really hope I'm wrong.

Thanks so much for your comment and kind words. I am still in love with it and whilst I understand the 12hr bezel concern, go check it out in person if you can 🙂

Nice. The bracelet reminds me of the riveted stretch one on my vintage Rolex from the 60s.

Thanks for the great video and review, looks a cracker, how are you getting on with it after 4-5 months, wearing and time keeping wise, cheers.
@EsbjornWristwatchReviews Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your compliment! It's a truly beautiful watch and I wore it every day last year. Time keeping is spot on as far as I've noticed (I'm not too worried about such things and check it once a week or so). It wears so well and Oris deserve all of the customers for their brilliant calibre 400. I have decided just this week to sell it on Chrono24 but that's mainly to free up some money for other life commitments, I would have absolutely no hesitation to wholeheartedly recommend it
@Downloaded7 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great review. Browsing Chrono24, it seems you might have decided to sell. If so, can you comment on why you're letting it go? Would be helpful for those of us considering a purchase.

Thank you for the comment and compliment. Yes, I'm going on a big trip end of year and hoping to get a rather pricey lens. I had to make a horrible choice in selling one of my two favourite watches (this being one) to finance it. I'm quite sad about it but I'm also conscious the fact that you simply can't have everything. If it doesn't sell for what I want, I'll be very happy to keep it. It's one of the three best watches I've ever owned and it was a lifer but things change.
@Downloaded7 Жыл бұрын
@@EsbjornWristwatchReviews Very understandable. But I'm glad to hear that the watch did not disappoint. I suspect that shipping and import duties will be prohibitive for me. Otherwise it would have been fun to pick up the exact watch I've admired in this review so many times. I hope you find a buyer and have a great trip!

An almost GADA watch, though i fear that ORIS is another brand in (what i call) the "cursed" category of watch brands. Meaning watches that all praise, like, appreciate, would get, but after some time all "move up" or even "step down"(!) cause they are... "meh....". Hamilton is another example, TAG Heuer, Nomos, maybe Tissot too. Nothing wrong there, all well made, guess it's us, our needs/wants drugs us away from them... (or do they really lack something?😏😜) Thanks for the review mate, be well, cheers. PS [copy of my comment for another faux rivet bracelet] If someone around me has my sense of humor must put rivets on my coffin when i die. That much i despise them. Not to mention mercedes hour hand! 😜😂
