We had some free time in the studio in October & so recorded our own re-imagining of 'Pretending', super chill & straight to tape. Shoutout to the kind man in Kodak express Camden who managed to fix this broken tape and rescue the footage! LEGEND. I'm so excited for you to hear the music we recorded in this studio.. more news on that in the new year :)

Never forgot how i first came to know orla through her song inevitable It was almost exactly around this time last year and i never quite got over what that song (the mv particularly) made me feel I was overcome with emotions to the point i actually cried ( and it surprised me ) And now listening to this one I’m overcome with that same feeling once again and i love it

in the summer of 2018, right after i dropped out of university, i interned at a recording studio in my city. it was terrible, i hated it so much, the hours were brutal and i wasn't paid and i didn't even get to do anything beyond cleaning bathrooms and preparing fruit trays. all i learned that summer was that i would rather work in live events than recording, 10 times out of 10. this video reminded me of that time, made me a. remember how sad i was that summer and b. miss the hell out of the beautiful spaces i sometimes got to tidy up or set up sessions in. analog is so special and i'm a big nerd lol
