It's hard to believe that Lassus composed this madrigal in 1536, since he was born in 1530 or 1532! That madrigal, if I am not mistaken, was published in 1555 with a French text in "Il primo libro dove si contengono Madrigali, Vilanesche, Canzoni francesi, e Motetti" (Antwerp). Es ist schwer zu glauben, dass Lassus dieses Madrigal in 1536 komponierte, da er im Jahre 1530 oder 1532 geboren war! Dieses Madrigal, wenn ich mich nicht irre, wurde im Jahre 1555 mit einem Französisch Text veröffentlicht im "Il primo libro dove si contengono Madrigali, Vilanesche, Canzoni francesi, e Motetti" (Antwerp).

Dear Paul, thank you for your answer. I do enjoy listening to your recording. Usually I don't like too much ensemble with only male voices. I think that female sopranos have a more soft sound than male ones. But I must admit that it's only a matter of tastes. By the way, I must say that it seemes you found a very good balance between voices ranges and tone colours. So the listening was very enjoyable.
