Thanks Peter for taking the time to make this video. I wonder why Ottawa has such a low Walk Score!

@@DBAahmad Hi Ahmad. It's tough to say - it's a very walkable city in the downtown area. The NCC National Capital Commission implemented the 'Greenbelt' which is protected nature trails/farmland/green space that separates the suburbs from the central core area and that may have an affect on the overall walkability score but it also adds great nature trails and green space to the city. One of my favourite classes in high school was geography and one year we actually had to plan out our own city called Urban Planning - which allowed us and challenged us to place city services, industry, commercial and residential in an allotted area throughout the year with certain challenges. It gve great insight into making choices in the moment with the information you had. At the end of the year you looked at your city and went 'Hmmmm, that could have been better planned....'. Hind site is always 20/20.

Hi Peter, I was considering Perth which is also closer to Ottawa, What's your take on the city of Perth, and also how much would a condo cost in the main city downtown area. Thanks for your informative videos as always!

Hi Jonatas. Perth is a great town. It is growing and growing in value. Beautiful in the summer and the gateway to cottage country! I think it is a good place to invest especially with the growing senior demographic. If you are seriously considering and want more in-depth stats and pricing feel free to reach out to me by email. Best.

Can you please show us what the best places for rent for students? Thanks
@LivingInOttawa3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ali. Rentals range depending on what you are looking for and which school you are attending.

@@LivingInOttawa I'm going to Ottawa University. I was hoping you would do a video about rentals for University students and more content about that in general. I find your chennel to be a reliable source and maybe the only one that exclusively presents info about Ottawa. So doing such content would be so helpful for students. Thanks again for your response.
