If youre doing this, for the love of god, please dont do it in a stryofoam cup. I did and all the nail polish that went to the bottom, the chemicals in the nailpolish ate a hole in the bottom of the cup and spilled water alll over my floor before I even realized. So I ended up with water and nail polish all over my favorite skirt, and messy nails lmao.

i remember following one of these tutorials. i tried this on the bathroom floor (i used a plastic cup to put the polish in) and somehow ended up dropping a hot pink polish bottle and it splattered all over the bathroom wall. i tried wiping it with toilet paper and well..it didn't work out. LOL thankfully my dad didn't get mad at me though

Beautiful! I have really been struggling w/ the marbling, couldn't get the polish to spread so I finally bought a gallon of distilled water & it worked great! Now I've been trying to do the designs & got tired of taping so I tried Elmers washable glue & it works so good I found it much easier to work with! TY for all the great vids

there's nothing special, water marble is just what the design is called - I use room temperature filtered water & normal nail polish

My problem with water marble is that after the 1st drop the next drops do not scatter around the surface they just remain intact drops of nail polish can any body help me ...

are you using room temperature filtered water? also keep in mind not all polishes work - even polishes that may spread on their own don't always work with particular other polishes, it takes a lot of trial & error to find the best combinations.

I always use room temperature water, and test many polishes before a manicure because not all polish will work well in the water

Swirl your polish, don't "pump" the brush in and out of the bottle. You're pushing air into the bottle and can cause your polish to dry faster than normal. Love your videos though!

I always use a paper cup - polish can eat thru Styrofoam and some kinds of plastic (which can be quite a mess when water starts leaking). My nails are natural but you can water marble on any kind of nails or even other items (I know people have done keychains for example)

Hey I’m new to nails and I just tried it but when I used the orange stick the outer layers would just all stick to it, I tried absolutely loads of different polishes and didn’t really work, I made sure the water was at room temperature, help 😅 xxx

If it's sticking that usually means the polish is starting to dry - try to work faster or you can also start a few rings in instead of from the very edge

It can be, but I usually see that term applied to more industrial uses (like car rims, bikes, guitars etc) - it's always been water marbling in the nail art world as far as I know
