Nice. How often do they do this ride? I’d love to give it a try

Ornot typically does a gravel ride weekly/bi-weekly (depending on weather.)

Get yourself a wahoo computer and you'll see how easy it is to find loops and trails. Having a bud that knows trails helps too

@@Marco-717 I'd also suggest using RidewithGPS and Kamoot, both apps have completely opened up my world for road and dirt routes.

What is it with cyclists recently having the flashing lights on their bikes switched on at daylight, while riding in a group and when there are no cars around? There is nothing more irritating than having a flashing light right in front of your eyes.
@smouvemouves2 ай бұрын
Couple things about that. 1. Depending on the ride, we're transitioning on/off road AND also, riding on roads that have car traffic. (In this particular video, the Mt. Tam area is packed with hikers and tourists.) 2. Most of us aren't even bothered by the light... we're too busy trying to survive the ride, and in this case, enjoying the stunning views and each other's company. 3. Drivers here on the west coast are AGGRESSIVE, so, the lights are necessary. We didn't start off riding on the trail, we road through San Francisco through touristville to get to the dirt.

I agree, the lights can be mostly pointless. However, really? You care that much to complain about someone wanting to feel safe on their bike? I can think of dozens of cycling things that are more irritating than a blinky light during the day.
@einundsiebenziger5488Ай бұрын
@@smouvemouves Totally understandable. Thanks for the response. By my experience cyclists using flashing rear light in daylight just want to keep everybody from using their slipstream, that's why I was asking.

@@stoneybowmann Like so many cyclists watching their phones while riding? That is indeed more irritating. When I'm on my bike I have a near-hit with one of these zombies almost every time. You also cannot fend them off with flashing light because they never pay attention anyhow.
