Finally the dagger getting the attention it deserves. I actually beat you one time in PVP Oro using the lance stagger into dagger true combo, it's a super underrated melee weapon with a crazy short cool down, target snap and even surprisingly decent range.

Nice to see my Laser Dagger getting representation, been my main weapon since I got it! In a lot of Single Player boss fights, you can Dagger 3-Hit Combo, then kick, then do another dagger combo cause it has the lowest melee recharge.

Pair it with the homing missiles and the enemy will suddenly be staggered without you needing to think about it. They're busy dodging you, a slow missile, and a big line of explosives.

I remember i made my take on this using dual needles and the pulse blade on a slightly different frame, and pulse armor, because the meditation techniques the ninjas use to calm their minds reflected on the reset of stagger. Really like this variation, seems fun to pilot.

One thing I'd definitely love to see in your builds is more use of Camo and patterns on your ACs. You can select it to only target specific channels, which can lead to some really nice militaristic looks. It would spice up these last 5 "Black with X Light Color" frames lol

The dagger is honestly the best stagger punish in the game. Due to its cooldown you can stagger with you main weapons, then melee with the dagger, assault armor stun them, and then follow up with another dagger combo. It nukes pretty much every ac if you can get that intial stagger in melee range

I have been getting some crazy results with laser dagger lately as a punish weapon, the fact it's almost always off cooldown is wild. Also I believe that you can land a true combo kick with bipeds after your laser dagger combo (either that or my opponents aren't getting out of the way quick enough)

VP-20C is mandatory if you use alot of EN weapon, VP-20B is better, but you can only choose so many with B version Hokushi is one of the solution if you need more output when san tai is not enough, lightest than NGI-000, san-tai & VP-20C & have nice hybrid between those those 3 in term of emptying capacity, capacity reload & capacity reload time

Wow nice, i feel like im looking at my Blue Eyed Devil in its original configuration (My ninja AC build) lol right down to paint job 😂 just trade the javelin missile for the laser chaser drones my kids call them laser shuriken ive since forgotten the name. Though i think last time i played around with it for versatile testing i had put a shotgun in a my right hand and swapped too two chaser drones units getting rid of the whip to see how a hobble and rush stratergy would work with it, it worked quite well. Essentially it went like this you, chase but stay at a medium range mostly. Alternating drone releases applying pressure and ducking for cheeky short range pot shots with the shotgun all applying gradual stagger forcing them to use their energy up quickly as soon they exhaust their energy (regardless of stagger bar) boost rush kick then Shotgun (if the kick doesn't stagger them the shotgun blast usually does) then into charge dagger strike to close distance into shotgun into dagger combo into shotgun. IF they aren't dead looking at you tank bros 😂 90% of the time they run to get distance if they havent already used panic AA / PA only to be chased down by laser drones again.

I feel like a second needle pistol would be better than two melee weapons. The stagger is otherwise currently unreliable because you’re relying on the beta. That’s just me though. I’d also use terminal armor because of how paper thin we are; an extra 5 seconds could allow for increased aggression. EDIT: Two melee weapons is cool as hell though, I just don't think its the best decision. Thats okay: the junkbot Oro built isn't the best decision either and its hilarious.

assault armor feels like a must-have for close melee builds like this one tbh, since it can turn an enemy's expansion slot into a combo extension for you. Where you'd otherwise be forced to back away and respect their shield/damage, you can just power straight through it and get more of your own damage with AA

Its great for punishing someone who doesn't respect it, for sure, but I'd have thought most people playing PVP would have figured out that the first person to use AA loses. If you see someone with AA, you just don't pulse armor or AA near them until they do first and counter with your own.

Even then, the combo extension it provides is still very useful and you can pop it when the enemy is lower health to ensure it works (with a finger on the quick boost so you can back out of theirs, if necessary) It just gives you so many options that you otherwise wouldn't have

Assault armor feels like a necessity with knife builds honestly as it gives you the ability to one combo someon with the stagger, melee, assault armor back into another melee combo. The javelin and plasma thrower really dont fit well with the build. Another viento or coquett (for extra intial stagger due to how accumulation works) and then the dual cruise missles makes the build a menace against every ac without a shield.

Out of curiosity, whats the point of the plasma thrower? I feel like you would get a lot more milage out of a second needle launcher, seeing as you could more comfortably drop back a bit farther to help deal with some scary close range stuff, as well as not locking yourself to a single location for a year. The only reason I can think of is that a second needle gun has too much recoil for the basho arms.

@@gengarisnotinsmash... It does more damage, and usually he is using it while the enemy is staggered or to get that final bit of stagger so it locking you in location isn't really a negative. His detonating missile could be replaced, but it seems to have enough tracking now that it actually can sometimes hit the enemy and do enough stagger that he then can much more easily get that combo off up close. He probably picked it, ultimately, because it was fun though and paired well enough with what he has. Making PvP builds to be 100% meta rather than making them 90% meta but more fun isn't enjoyable for most people, and Oroboro seems to like mixing things up.

He got some good use out of it as a secondary stagger punisher. It’s got good direct hit adjustment, so when his dagger punishes got pulse armor countered he assault armored back and had the plasma thrower off cooldown for the punish.

I feel like this would be better with a wheelchair build and using the plasma thrower for primary melee attack. The two-hit combo does crazy damage against staggered opponents, and the wheelchair lets you use it while moving.

Oro messed up. Allula is not spammable. He'd do better spamming with the P10 or the Gills. Allula just has maximum distance in a single QB but overall lower spammability. I noticed a lot of people running it over others for the wrong reasons. Also, Gills is the only one that can dodge laser spam netcode.

That's not very spammable, in comparison to it's cousin the Gills that is the fastest QB reload while remaining nearly 100 points more EN efficient. The gills is also the best at dodging close range Ocelleus FCS because it's the only one that reloads faster than the 90 close range targeting Allula is definitely better on a midweight or tank though. For a lightweight I'd rather have more QBs available at a given time

@@pinip_f_werty1382 yeah, but gills has pretty bad thrust. If you are looking for specifically QB spam, yes, gills is better, but thrust speed is extremely important for lightweight builds. With allula, you can close the gap without even using a qb. It's not necessarily that allula is spammable, it's that the option is there, but in the meantime you can rely on the excellent boost speed to close the gap without using any energy in the first place (you can see that he gets an absurd 382 boost speed in the rundown). If anything, my main complaint about the build would be that he didn't go for a stronger generator with that extra load limit he had.

@@pinip_f_werty1382 oh, that makes a lot of sense then. Reverse joint ground QB makes up for lower gills/P03 thrust, and because you go into the air so often the lower cost matters more. Thing is, biped legs are on the ground much more and thus are refilling energy faster, making the extra cost less impactful. It also helps that the nachtrihar legs (who's name I just butchered) happens to have a jump distance that lines up perfectly with the allula qb reload time. But I can definitely see where you're coming from now, might have to reevaluate my reverse joint builds...

Basho arms look awesome to me. Just 6 inch thick armor plates on all the important bits, angles to deflect rather than take all the impact head on, bulky without going overboard like dafang. Just pure functionality. Also really easy to put decals on because they're so flat.

As soon as I saw the thumbnail I needed to say something: I came up with a build almost identical to this, using the plasma thrower/laser dagger combo. It’s devastating… when it works… I have multiple recordings of testing this build that shows if you switch between the those two melee weapons very quickly a bug will occur that will result in two things: 1) a lack of animation, meaning the energy part of the weapon can’t be seen, like it’s not deploying, and 2) when that happens it’s literally like it’s not deploying correctly and you absolutely will not cause any damage even if you’re right next to your opponent. It’s the reason I don’t really play this build too often anymore, I’m waiting for a fix. Hope that helps 👏
