Orochimaru should have had sage mode instead of Kabuto and fought sasuke and Itachi or at least he should have fought Sasuke in a long and epic battle and go out like a beast

No. I don't think introduction of other strong character nerfed Orochimaru's power, I just think the fans are unobservant as all living fuck. If a character's strength is defined ONLY by being stronger than every single other person, they aren't truly strong. First of all, Hiruzen was Hokage for a reason. Don't discredit his power even with the doormat attitude. Second of all, Orochimaru never seemed genuinely concerned in any fight that takes place. Sannin fight? He was literally dying with necrotic arms. Jiraiya was only drugged, and Tsunade was.... afraid of blood? Idk. He lost use of his jutsu and relied on his sword and snake summons only. That doesn't really make him any lesser, quite the opposite in fact. Like, if he's strong enough to keep up with them at his lowest point, what the fuck would that battle have looked like if he did have his arms? Same goes for when you say "Orochimaru fights seriously" No. Actually, no. Did you pay attention at all? Orochimaru was messing with Naruto to see his ability and draw out the Nine-Tails. He had a smirk on his face the whole time, and looked unbothered when HE WAS RIPPED IN HALF. We never saw Orochimaru fight seriously outside of his fight with Hiruzen. He's killed by Sasuke, yeah, on his deathbed because arrogance is his weakness, but he comes back to life later. Then he PERFORMS THE SHINIGAMI SUMMONING WHILE SWITCHING BODIES AND USING THE REANIMATION JUTSU. Did y'all forget those are all forbidden jutsu? Like fucking S-rank? He was not in his full power throughout most of the series, and maintained his threat status. Konoha never was able to get Sasuke back, Sasuke came back, that's a big difference. They would have failed, he was never caught by the leaf. That isn't a "oh he's not relevant anymore" by any means, you'd have to be a moron to think that. No, that's a "wait a second this dude who never used any jutsu throughout the majority of the series is that big of the threat, but wasn't at his full capacity? And he's stronger now, combined with the power we never saw?" Y'all are blind. BTW I kind of wish that instead of Boruto, we got a flashback series, a prequel of the Sannin. It would expand their powers more, give more depth, and make us cry even harder when Jiraiya dies.

@@New_Horizons No problem. I noticed that too. I guess I'm just drawn to him because I identify with him more than any of the others in the series. His character and I have similar coping/psychological defense strategies: to keep suffering at bay, overcome the vulnerablelilities inherent in being human. It's a type of transcendence and while Oro seeks it through collecting occult knowledge and transcendental magic (forbidden jutsu), I seek it through the Highest Power. But yeah, man. Good stuff! Keep it up👍

Orochimaru was a prodigy and later got nerfed to make pain and itachi look greater. When he face pain he said this wont be easy, he never said i cant beat him. Besides he wanted to join akatsuki and spy on them and why send the strongest to recruit Orochimaru lol First time he faced itachi he was evil and ambitious and that was his downfall, but he still managed to move and almost got out if itachi didn't cut his hand. The second time that was just a part of orochimaru who couldn't move or use any jutsus. The writers only had Orochimaru using snakes and trolling around. We never seen him at full power or with sage mode that's why the writers brought him back. Current orochimaru is OP

Orochimaru suffers from the big shift of balance in the story between OG Naruto and Shippuden. If I retake the same chronology we had the fights between Kakashi and Zabuza that showed us the possibilities of ninjutsu, with the Chidori shown as the pinnacle of what a full fledged shinobi can do. Then the chunin exam showed us a lot of variety in the kind of techniques being used in the wolrd but the scale was basically the same. When the Konoha crush happens, we get to see a fight between two peoples above everybody. Remember that at this point we got an ambu member amazed by the 3rd Hokage pulling of a big suiton technique without water already there. Beside that, the tailed beasts fights were totally another level, somethink barely immaginable for the ninja world. After that we got to see the sannin fighting expanding the concept of summoning jutsu, and some more in-depth explanations of chakra with the concept of Rasengan, chakra nature... Then in Shippuden we switched to casually showing off extremely powerful ninjutsu. Some feats that were seen from exceptionnal people (legendary sannins, Kage, war heroes) became normal from enemies in the "quite strong" tier of the story. Top tier people now do jutsu that can level down entire cities. Well, the 3rd Hokage's feats during the Konoha crush seem less impressive now, and so are Orochimaru's deeds. We know hear about ancient Kage who fought 10 000 ninjas alone, or shaped entire countries. Zabuza's place on the headbook or Orochimaru's are quite laughtable in Shippuden So even if Orochimaru survived he became less and less relevant.

"Casualy", dude was panting and very fatigued after stabbing 4tails with the sword which is shown right before Sai aproaches him. He also pretty much scored 1 punch on 4tails and got swept around several times u til he decided to quit the fight. That was not casual, he got his ass beat.

The writers have 3 options for orochimaru 1. Make him final villain 2. Have orochimaru go all out in a death battle and dying protecting mitsuki 3. Orochimaru tsunade and koji fighting alongside and remembering jiraya

I care so much ima comment twice, it would have been really really cool if orochimaru was in kabutos spot. But part of me thinks he should have been in kaguyas spot. He did all the research. He could have been the one to realize the infinite tsukiyomi is for absorbing chakra, and he finds a way to take advantage of Madara and absorbs all the chakra. Screw kaguya, you just get a super powered orochimaru. That’d be badass as fuck.

I mean right now he has the perfect body, the best regeneration in the verse, so much knowledge, he absorb his chakra from kabuto, mitsuki said he knows alot more about byakugou seal, Shikamaru also said orochimarus intel will be critical when the time comes. Like damn when can he get a powerup and shine like everyone else

A naruto who is easily at least 4 times stronger than the third hokage struggles against otsutsukis. You do not understand the series at all if you think orochimaru could beat an otsutsuki.

@@IhatenaldsMcDo Jiraiya cannot beat an otsutsuki. Kashin koji can hold his own which is sort of a plot hole. The only explanation for this is that kashim koji is much stronger than jiraiya ever was. Of course, using boruto scaling is extremely idiotic, as it doesnt make much sense. It's much smarter to use shippuden scaling which actually is consistent and makes sense.

Zabuza is a very well written first arc villain. He has way more depth than most initial enemies in most manga
