The name of the lead singer of Orthodox Celts is Alexander "Aca" Petrovich, the man with the long ponytail'd hair and mutton chop sideburns that he wore most noticeably in the Orthodox Celts music videos for Drinking Song and Star of The County Down, their rendition of Star of The County Down is significant toward Van Morrison's version, same with their rendition of Marie's Wedding. Sometimes Aca will grow a mustache or a goatee but he mostly keeps his facial hair limited to just his sideburns or a buzz cut beard. At one point, Aca Petrovich had stated in an interview that he was a Slav (a member of an ethnic people group from Eastern Europe) from Belgrade, Serbia who immigrated to Ireland with his friends in 1992 to escape the Yugoslavian genocides of the time. Not only had they started a band after moving to Ireland that had built a reputation for being a Serbian music band that played Irish folk music, but Aca the lead singer also confirmed that the Slavs and the Celts at one point a thousand years ago were the same people as the biggest Celtic Graveyard in the world is located in Belgrade, Serbia.
