My fiance died. The road is getting louder. The neighbors just put a blinding light on their gate so we won't get any dark. My eyes hurt from it and I worry for the wildlife. The list goes on. Last night I had to confront Satan in my dream and couldn't wake up. I don't feel like I have anyone I can talk to. I am a grown adult and have to live with my parents again. My father is hard to be around and my mother is depressed. I feel so lost and uncared for. I accept life is a struggle but do I have to be blinded? Watch animals and nature suffer, not have a husband and child and be in such pain? I think on God more than ever and my life is getting harder all the time. I just started watching this and hope it helps. Thank you for this.

Excellent Homily . Thank you Father . Glory to God . This homily touched on so many realities that one faces daily . Truly distractions that keep us busy with many earthly things . Young parents especiallyare battling this series of distractions . Necessary and important things . But , ultimately these physical and emotional distractions consume us and there is little time or thought of God . Caring for children , providing for one’s family , these are good and necessary . As Father well explains , without Christ centeredness these tasks will not bear fruit . Heavenly fruit . We glorify ourselves in our sacrifice and giving if we do not acknowledge God . I pray unceasingly . I am in my late 60’s and I have the blessing to focus on the Lord . The prayers of parents and grandparents availith much . Let us pray together for one another . Especially when there are many that do not pray . We have a great opportunity to support others in this way . God is with us .

I try not to worry about anything particularly but sometimes it happens. One of the things that I usually worry about is a friend of mine who suffers from a incurable illness, Crohn's disease. And whenever I visit him, I ask him how's he doing. And if I ask him about his incurable illness, he usually doesn't like to talk about it because it makes him feel emotionally uncomfortable. And sometimes he'll start crying or getting angry about it. So perhaps it's best that I don't mention it all when I visit him. I'll just continue praying for him and leave it into God's hands and wait for a miracle to happen.

i am a 15 year old girl in Canada and I just became an Orthodox Christ by the grace of God. However, I am incredibly frightened a lot of the time. I'm so scared of world events like the war in Ukraine and Russian, Israel and Palestine, AI, secularism, climate change, wokeism and other things like that. I worry that these conflicts are a great sign of the times and that we are about to have the antichrist any day, that I'll look on the news and see a man claiming to be god being crowned in the temple in Jersualem. im so scared of being martyred or tortured for my faith, and that I'll lose or renounce my faith for fear of persecution. I also fear the Last Judgement and worry about my salvation, so I worry that I will have a terrible life on Earth, only to be met with eternal death afterwards. I know I need to trust in Christ and rely on Him, but that doesn't stop my anxiety. I would love some help, whether it be advice or prayers. God bless

Our job is to love God but most people don't hear this message properly. What is really mean to hear is that God is going to be the driving factor for all of your decisions so if you need to say wash the dishes then you can think what would God do about these dishes? he would probably wash them and then maybe you would wash the dishes and that would be a good thing. And this can come into a million different examples but you think to yourself what would God do and act in the way that you think is most appropriate to the highest ideal (God) for the given situation. This is different than just saying love God and do whatever you want and repent after you sin and you'll go to heaven which is unfortunately the message most people hear so we're left with a society full of sinners. The only thing people are concerned with about this Bible stuff is going to heaven, which is the most goddamn selfish thing that could have ever came out of Christianity. it's so unfortunate the entire culture of Christianity is dying because they have somehow changed from reading the word and teaching the practices of the Bible to somehow just simply attempting proving that Jesus Christ was real or Adam and Eve are real, or did Cain really kill Abel. These miss the message. And if you can't take it literally maybe you can take it metaphorically, because these characters are more than real, they are meta real. God got into this fight with Darwin and is still fighting him to the point where like if you bring up the fact that they are in a quarrel it's like you can't learn anything in the Bible at all. Everyone wants to see God clobber Darwin and the chin or evolution knock God off his throne or something like that but people don't understand that these things can exist at the same time. The Bible is not a history book the Bible is not a science textbook, the people that wrote it were archaic, not stupid, there's a difference and there's no telling what technology we've lost in the last couple thousands years that these people used to have. There's so much more to the Bible than people give credit and unfortunately Christians are pretty guilty of that as well. Every argument is built on top of "you must believe" instead of building the argument on top of reading the stories and then interpreting the stories which by the way can speak perfectly well on their own. I think if I were in charge of converting people into Christianity I would just have them come to my church and listen to sermons like this one where we try to tell like hey life isn't easy but at least we got some God on our side and we got each other and we're going to do our best. And then I would go through some of the oldest stories in the Bible and I would read them with people and I would say what do you think it means when God says this to Cain, etc and expand on the stories that are already there. Because one cool thing about the Cain and Abel stories is learning that there's a little bit of cain and a little bit of able in all of us! God bless
