mmedeuxchevaux - Yes, it is an Eastern musical influence. The style that he plays can be traced back to guitarist John Fahey, who combined American Delta Blues & Ragtime with the Ragas of India. The Indian influence doesn't show up in all of Fahey's compositions, but I would say it is in a decent percentage of it. Glad to see Jack Rose & now Daniel Bachman carrying the torch for what John Fahey coined "American Primitive Guitar".
